Nibbler Squirrel eats a couple of nuts and then jumps on my head. Nibbler is a tame wild pet squirrel that lives in the trees outside of my home. You can see all of his videos from birth onward at his Facebook page: / nibblersquirrel
In the cities they actually do something similar to that, habitually. They see you, come up to you, put their hands together into fists up to their chests , and stand up. I never knew why that particular pose in particular, but I knew that it meant "Spare some food?"
Yes. I buy organic & I like to support my local Farmer's Markets. Nuts, still in the shell, are about as natural as it gets. And they can be purchased in a mixed assortment.
I live in the moderate temperature of San Jose, CA. I put both shelled and unshelled nuts on a fence rail. Doesn't matter the time of year, they always take the unshelled nuts first and run away to store or hide them.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh I just died and went to heaven. This is so so so CUTE! I recently went to US/Canada and saw them for the first time and absolutely fell in LOVE!
