Thanks for sharing. My connector broke and fell apart, so I had to expose the two terminals on the sensor and solder the wires on to them to make it work.
Thanks for the video. You identified my problem. I wasn’t able to wedge the cables back into the plug. So you k is the name of the plug and wire and the part number? Thanks again for helping me identify my problem.
My AC stops blowing cold when I come to a stop for more than a couple of minutes. I thought maybe it was low on Freon so I went ahead and added a lil bit, however it still does it. It blows cold AF when I'm moving even 20mph but get stopped and it stops working. I hear strange noises like the blend door moving or something and when I take off the same noises. Maybe it's the same issue.
You don''t show where the broken connector is and do you don't show where you are putting coolant in. Spend a little more time planning your video and less flying your drone.
4:00 Broken Connector - Directly under the dash, can’t miss it. It’s the only connector there. 6:30 Refrigerant Connector - shown clearly where it’s connected.
When you go under the passenger seat dash board you will see the small wire clipped on the side (it's the only white clip there) with two wires attached. Mine was not broke so my A/C has different issue now.
I fixed the temperature sensor jack, top up freon ac gas with colour but it is still losing pressure and we are unable to see where since seals on condensator and compressor are not leaking ....
Hi, you mentioned about 2 temperature sensors, 1 on the inside and 1 on the outside? I checked my same intermittent AC problem and the inside temperature sensor connection looks fine. Where is the location of the outside sensor?
Thanks guy! a lot of thanks i want a video to see how i recharge my AC because didnt work correctly and i think is for low gas pressure, and i found your video and see your problem. I have the same problem but i dont know, i recharge and still dont work i want the sensor and has like yours. A lot of thanks!
Hello, hoping you can help me... I have a 2015 (451) Smart Fortwo Passion, and I realized that the "air recirculation switch" doesn't work, I mean, it lights up (and it used to work quite nice), but after a minor service at the MB agency, it stoped working, I don't wanna go back there since I had a very bad experience with them (terrible service), do you have any idea what the problem might be? Thank you in advance...
Hi, I need to add some refrigerant in my 2008 Smart. I’ve watched your video but just not sure where exactly is the low port connector?? Do you have any other videos that would explain?? Thanks!
My Ac quit. 08 for two with 72000 km. put on a compressor from another 08 with 42000 km and it quit too after only 1000km. . I pulled apart 1st pump and found that the rotor that holds the vanes broke , jamming the pump. 2nd pump is likely the same. Anyone have any idea why this would happen twice?
Sounds like it could just be low on refrigerant, or the condenser is not getting enough air flow when stopped, and then when you start going again, it catches back up. Which is somewhat normal for the latter.
Jonathan rosado I had it fixed at a shop but I was just over owning a smart car, so I used it for trade in value. Sorry I could not be of more assistance!
Was at a mechanics shop today and i have a 2008 smart fortwo and i was quoted almost 2thousand canadian dollars before taxes to replace/fix a compressor that seized. oh and the stupid compressor belt broke off too. The summers where I currently live are not exactly desirable. The dealership where i got the car should go to hell LLOL.
Franklin county strangler they are to the right of the center console. They are very oddly placed. You will see the little clip and two wires sticking out.
So being a mechanic, I understand they can’t diagnose it over the phone for you, nor should they. They’re not in business to do that so don’t be so cheap next time.
My smart cars fan went it only has 38,000 miles I hardly drive it anywhere and the muffler needed to be welded it costed a month ago 240$ now the fan can be like 400-500$ my air conditioner started banging and loudly the prices for this car are highly expensive plus the work .I had a Toyota it had 90,000 miles I never had one thing wrong.I wouldn't buy another smart fixing them is so expensive and there made crappy.its falling apart at 38,000 miles I'm about to get rid of it.
If your going to show someone how to fix an A/C problem, try showing where you actually got those pieces from step by step. This video makes not sense if I do not know where to find the piece under my dash board.
@@HiRevzMedia Make a better video; I do not have a problem working on my smartcar but I do have a problem with your video not having light and not giving better details. Learn to take criticism so you can do better to help others.
Pa Jo pictures at 4:10. If you follow the video and look under your dash on the right side you will see the only electrical plug right there. It looks just like the pictures.
