Brent here. I was the one who dropped the deer right after the shot. Only fair as I had the much closer shot. My dad's was the one we had to follow and find. Thank you Adam for taking the project when I finish my basement it is going to be the center piece behind my bar.
Great Job Adam, wonderful amount of information that will facilitate smiles and story telling and reflection of Father Son time for years to come. 😀👍👍👍
That is an amazing story that you have captured with your engraving. I'm sure Brent and Andy will cherish it forever and will look fabulous mounted over Brent's bar. Very nice job Adam!!
Meticulous job as usual Adam. You made those folks that keepsake they will have in their minds and hearts forever. Anyway, stay safe healthy and cool. Bill H from Cranberry Township
Nice work. That’s a pretty cool story to have memorialized in that way. Small suggestion - If you would have moved the map up above the plane of the names you coud have made it a bit larger to show the detail larger. Just a thought.
I started making plaques for deer mounts and turkey mounts 35 years ago. The plaques the taxidermist was using were plywood. I hated them cheap looking. So I started making them myself out of oak. Now I have oak ash and maple plaques. From the standard shape to the flint arrowhead and the European mount. I’ve made over 500 of them all from wood I’ve milled. Peace
Adam, I love watching your engraving videos. If you feel that you would be overdoing it on the main channel. Create a second channel and put as many of these videos on there as you want. Many of us would watch that.
Well done. Yes, too many laser videos would, in fact, get rather boring rather quickly. But this is art. Yes, most of what you do on the laser is creative, but this is artistic. (PS, I think this is good for you. "Creative Accountant" is not a good career path.)
Beautiful job Adam! A piece of history that will be shared for years to come. Wouldn't it be cool if you had a scanned in picture of both of them etched in by their names. Just a thought. Greetings from the Old Jarhead in WNC (but grew up in Emporium, PA. back in the 50's) where the 1st day of deer season in a holiday.
Awesome sauce. Had similar happen in my group years ago. Except my 2 guys shot at the same deer. I was the third in line and heard 1 shot but when we found the deer there was 2 holes. Then the 3rd guy came along and said he shot too.
