Kristen I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos and hearing you speak. I am originally from Frankston, Victoria but have lived in North Carolina (USA) for the past 27 years. I am new to channel, the multi colored long sleeve with ponte cuff is amazing and looks gorgeous on you. I am huge vogue pattern since I began sewing so many years ago. I live in California near San Francisco and so enjoy watching how the Australians are sewing.

You really hit this one out of the park! Amazing comparisons and examples of stunning dresses on a stunning lady! Hi Kristen, I loved the red velvet and the Kimono dress and I'd really love to make one for myself but because I'm an (aussie) size 12/14 with a H cup the thought of finding & adjusting any pattern to fit me just puts me off even trying. Maybe I could start with a simple wrap dress when we can venture back into a Spotlight store, thanks for your video. Fip. (melbourne) :)

I am also in Victoria. (Bon Beach).I'm so glad I found you. I am your size so I know the wrap dress works well BUT: I don't go out much so I want something In a basic style but out of more everyday fabric. The main thing for me is comfort and practicality. I also like the dreaded leggings and straight legged pants to wear under a tunic or dress. Can any of these shown today use a fabric more "every day". Thank's a lot. Love your vid.,s.

Kristen, your fabric to pattern matching is exquisite! Love em all but fave is 9292 fit n flare...fabric and fit unbelievable. I love vogue patterns as they generally fit me well so will be buying this one. Now to find the fabric...

Joanne Powell oh that would have been amazing! We do come last Townsville to visit a friend in Brandon and to go to the speedway down at Pioneer Park. I will let you know when we are coming past Incase it suits you to catch up. Sewing friends are few and far between I am afraid. Though that said a lovely lady has started up a social sewing day once a month in Cairns which is fab. Would love to keep in touch ☺️

Yes you can most definitely leave out the zip! In fact, I left it out of my linen one that I made the same!
