Very nice dresses. I’ve made this once in liberty fabric and raised the neckline after watching a you tube vlog demonstrating it. I wish I had made mine longer but had 3 metres which I used up. It’s calf length but I like dresses very long! I agree it’s a lovely pattern but I had some issues with the fit of the bodice but must revisit it after watching this.
Thank you soo much for this video. Especial the bit re the bodice pleats. I was soo wrong on the folding. Unpicking and doing a again. thank god I hadn't gone any further. Youre a star!
Thanks for the tip on marking darts. I have been sewing for years and never come across that one. Genius. The dresses you made from the vogue pattern are gorgeous. I love a deep V. So flattering on almost everyone. I have just made up a Tessuti Lois and so am getting my deep V hit.........but am definitely side-eying the vogue now. Well, again actually. .......Ergh
Love the linen chartreuse. I have this pattern and will make it eventually. I have some knockout Vogue patterns that sew up very easily and fit beautifully!
Having just commented on another video, the Wiksten, the next video was this, V9253, which I mentioned in my previous comment. I'm still very nervous to tackle this project so will definitely do a toille to see how the bust part turns out. Thank you for the tips and thank you for replying to my last comment. If i knew how to do emojis on my laptop my comments would be full of clapping, thumbs up and smiley faces
It is a beautiful dress. And I must admit I was scared away by the deep V but now I know its easily altered I want one and maybe make one for my oldest daughter. Now I better go to sleep its 6am lol xx
Beautiful dresses and my goodness what a beautiful garden too. I've been scared off by the cleavage on show in this pattern but I'll go and have another look at it. I think I'd try it in jersey (anything to avoid a zip!).
