Railway World what’s the difference between the ET44AC and the ES44AC?

@@sebastianfloyd372 I'm an 11 year old, not knowing too much about trains. But the difference can easily be spotted through the rear of the train. The hood is garage shaped and larger than the es44ac. Either than that I think they are the same thing.

Impressive. You don't see a DPU in the middle of trains here. The BNSF passes through the farm on a very busy line here in Central Texas. DPU's trail here.

In 2001 an Australian railroad hauled an ore train of over 600 cars, more than 7 km long, and weighing almost 100,000 tons. They used eight GE AC6000CW locomotives. It's on youtube - check it out!

Why Canada have same trains as USA
@ArcticuKitsu
@ArcticuKitsu 6 лет назад
Easier to just buy what USA is making. We make our own planes, just not trains. Well, unless they're trams then we make our own but trains like that it's just easier to buy from USA.

Poor question mark.

They have same rail standards as US. Plus global trade exists and superior product wins. You can find US Spec locomotives in US, Mexico, Canada, & Parts of Australia and the Middle East Region. Imagine that the industry is like the Aerospace industry. Boeing from the US, Airbus from France, Bombardier from Canada, UAC from Russia.... Etc and the free market decides what it seems best to buy. Speaking of which, Bombardier sells locomotives in the US to North American rail standards (Passenger Locomotives, Passenger Train Cars, and light rail only) but has decidedly not enter the already saturated and volatile freight locomotive industry. GE has pretty much already usurped EMD out of existence to the point that caterpillar had to buy them out and restructure the whole company. Any Canadian/Global competition would have to have a damn compelling reason to be selected over US developed options. So there ya have it. I would imagine if Canada was to ever produce a home grown option it would be Bombardier to do it.
