Wow! you blew me away with your licks Mike they were awesome, I was most impressed!....🎸 I'd like to make another Beatles request if I may Mike, would you consider covering "You Won't See Me" please. I believe there's a bit of a story behind the lyrics!.. Thanks Mike - James
Thank you so much! I’ve been teaching myself piano for the past few years and just now moving to guitar. Your videos help me so much. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge
roger long - Well thanks - but it's not that I don't like the country guitar pickin'. I say quite frequently in this lesson say how GREAT those cats play. It's the nasal voiced singing and the pickup truck, drinkin' beer, good ol' boy, take my gun out of my dead hands, god loves the USA, motifs that I can live without.
I coming up on 60, and my lack of any accomplished guitar skills keep players at Mike’s level clearly in what’s left of a limited cool category for me. Your cool, Mike! Peace Brother!
Mike, you have a nice, easy teaching style! I love especially those two-note riffs ala Che Atkins, which you probably highlight in other sessions (e.g., "All My Loving").
Like you Mike, I'm not a big Country fan, however, I LOVE Barefoot Jerry! Guitarist, Bassist and Vocalist Wayne Moss is one incredible musician and songwriter. They made six albums in the 1970s , of which "Barefoot Jerry" & "Watchin' TV (with the Radio on) are Amazing! The Guitar licks are mesmerising, as is the Steel Guitar , Bass and Keyboards. You may even know some of the players in the band. I've been a fan since '73, and Wayne is still playing. Please listen if you want too . Enjoyed this vid, I love your playing. Gary.
Mike you rock, please show us some of your classical playing some time, I’m 60yrs old & never cared for country music but I will listen too anything except hip hop but I love the old Motown stuff. Thanks brother🎸🎸🎸🎸👨🏻🦯
People like Kenny Vaughan Marty Stuart right on Down the Line they bounced backwards and forth words in between that major in minor pentatonic scale and some of the in-between notes are put a little Jazz influence into it Slots of Fun to watch especially the Masters like Brad Paisley Vince Gill is good at it these kind of players come a dime a dozen or sounds of them once the secrets get out dozens and dozens of guitar players will pick up on them it kind of spreads like wildfire
I'm suprised you being a beatle disciple and all your not fond of country just cuz they were in the early days.....but hey I get it lol these are great licks indeed...thanks
Super tasty licks, Mike. Thanks! I'm going to work on those. Can I ask what size strings you use to get those nice bends? I always liked the little licks in Octopus's Garden, too.
