How2 measure INTAKE TIMINGS of a crank and adjust it, the intake and the crank. samples are 7 cranks: mazzuchelli 60 & 57mm px125 & 200, piaggio 125 & 200 57mm, tameni 200. its pretty easy, it only takes aprox 10 minutes. &please measure it directly (!) at the cylinder as it is more precise than measuring it somewhere else at the flywheel with a degree disc...

will provide another video based on the current parmakit 186 project and show this more detailed, esp the difference between an original and a flowed cheek.

Errors: (1) 2:34 the pinasco 177 originally has 116° Transfer Timing, the planed Timing was 120°

Hi. What timing do you recommend me for the rotary valve with the following components? : Old Malossi 210 that gave 130/190 with 60 mm crank + original Piaggio 57 mm crankshaft + BGM BiG Box Sport + authentic Keihin PWK 28 or original Si 24. I know, they are incompatible materials hahahah, but it is what I have in the workshop after years making reed valve engines. Thank you.

wait. ORIGINAL piaggio crank with original intake timings and 190/130/30 cyl timings?!? & a bbs? & malossi old (4th gear problem) who did recommend this setup to you :)

@@FreakMoPed8 Nobody. It is just parts I have from building some reed valve engines in the past. The old Malossi was 130/190 with a 60 mm crank. I have an original 57 Piaggio crank that I am going to use for building a new engine. The timings are going to be close to 184/124 approximately with the 57 mm crank......so ... What timing do you recommend for the rotary valve? I know the components are not the ideal, but I prefer to build an engine with them then having all the parts in boxes around the shop. And I have a 36 Z 4th gear 😁

184/124 sounds a bit better. but 4th gear wont get better, also bit shorter 4th gear doesnt help. which intake timings? i would rather take the polinibox than the bbs, which needs quite some intake timings = power, the polinibox always works

@@FreakMoPed8 I already have the BBS.... I also could take 2 mm from the base of the cilynder and make it under 180/120. Rotary valve timing please.

yes, thats a very good plan. with 0,05mm rotary valve clearance provided (mostly with original crank) you can go up to 190-200degrees. bbbs on hand yes sure, doesnt make it any better... beside in general from the efficient side and way too low manifold so that u stripe in right curves, it also has a heat jam problem on 200cc due to the too small tailpipe. a polinibox would also help to iron the weaknesses of this cyl

hello.i need to know here.did you do a BTDC adjustment also after ATDC for polini/pinasco 177 because i cant see any BTDC adjustment in these video.however..great video MISTA

sorry.i see it in 3:00.actually, what i mean about btdc is the time for crankshaft to start open.i never know about this before and now i want to know more about it. one more thing,i need your suggestion about my inlet timing setup.before this im using malossi 166 and original px150 crankshaft with 20mm cut(follow by malossi) and already extend 5mm rotary pad (front) also followed by malossi .now im using quattrini m1x with old inlet timing setup and never get extra miles for my top speed.can i do a new ATDC & BTCD setup by using my old inlet timing setup and what is the best atdc&btdc degree for quattrini m1x with 57mm stroke.thanks

mista FreakMoPed im using jl pipe left side by saigon scooter.its that ok if i change my current crankshaft because nothing can i do with my 5mm extend rotary pad.i have another px150 crankshaft(no cut) and maybe it can help me to get a new intake timing setup.nevermind i will measure my open/close crankshaft timing + exhaust/transfer port timing and will let u know.one more thing.can u explain to me about overlapping.i had watched your video for many times but still not clear about it.its that timing different between transfer port fully closed and crankshaft start open.thanks

can say anything without the timing measurement. but it sounds more likely that u shoulld exchange the crank. with this exhaust i would go for 120/176 4cyl and 130/70 4crank so its 10degree overlapping. make sure that ur carb and ur tap deliver enough fuel! also measure rv of coourse. u will need aprox: idle jet: 2,4 mixer BE2 mainjet 140 with 5&8mm drills in the air filter

fuel supply! Strong clutch with honda linings, ie my diy recommendation, if you can port: ex port 63%. Intale timings extending: open intake max to the back. at the crank to 70 degree. Only if rotary valve tolerance is 0,05mm. set the quish to 1,2mm Which pipe is that? Optical Big doesnt mean its good. ie polinibox beats the pd sbox (which is loud!)

Oh yeah forgot to mention bgm fast flow n also bgm superstrong clutch with honda plates. Pipes are original, modified to an extended box tht is just slightly smaller than bgm bigbox and with bigger neck/chamber similar with bgmbigbox

oh. recommendation: replace the bgm (omg) fast flow with a sip v2 fast flow, the bgm has flow problems and can even block 100% (videos online about the problem) hope the box is good, try a polinibox one day, its a pretty ingenious thing, just to ensure that your box is performing as it should. ie the sip road XL looks important, but performance is outdated, the smaller sip road 3 performs better, it swallows the XL curve completelly. checkout my fb page for the #FMPboxtest and gsf dyno curves. its pretty interesting
