Just got in my free Spring Promotion Bag from Veto Pro Pac, the SB-LD. I got it by purchasing the MB-5B which you can see here - • MY NEW Veto Pro MB5B C...
I will have loadouts eventually with both, but I wanted to go ahead and share the features of the bag and compare it to an older bag you all might have, the TP-LC. That way if you are on the fence you will get an idea if you need to pull the trigger and get the SB-LD for free before the promotion ends.

I just received my SB-LD yesterday and out it to work today. i wasn't sure if I would like it but I have a light loadout in it and love it! It works great in conjuction with my TP-XXL in my mobile rv repair business. I also have the MB3 I still use for small things.

I want the cover flap on the front of the tp-lc but with the back meter section of the sb-ld. Just like you said!

That would be my preference to.. I can still work with it open top by leaving the flap flipped back

How hard would it be if they made an accessory that attached to the handle d rings that draped over it like thr tplc but no zippers? That would keep bags clean and since the bases are fairly similar they could make it comparable for many bags. I smell a black market like all thoes milwaukee packout modders.

@@MattHmm-rq6dn I honestly had already thought about looking into doing something. I like the Vetos for the clean look myself. The open tops aren’t deal breakers, but I just like the “no tools showing” look

Check out their unreleased (so far) TP-LD (you can search for it). It doesn't have the rear "box," but it has a cover and is V-swap, so there is added space in the front.

Really nice little bag especially with the back panel. I like having the option to put my m12 or even my m18 in the same bag . I think that's the ultimate service bag . I'm really considering this bag. Over half of the jobs I do are little service calls . Thanks Morgan . And thanks for showing the m18 in there to. Even though it looked like you had wrestle it in😂

It’s a snug fit. Those newer impacts are a little smaller, and if I didn’t have the spider holster it would have been better. If it had the flap on the front, it would be the perfect bag for me.. but I can probably make it work

I got my wheeler and I love it. My SBLD should be here today or tomorrow and I’m excited for the utility. I can kit out the SBLD with my meters so I have my meters and punch down kit during those rough troubleshooting days.

The SB-LD would be a perfect Computer/Network Tech bag if it had a cover. The back box-pocket would be perfect for components to be installed . FYI Veto is going to release the TP-LD this year (not released yet, but you can Search for it) that doesn't have the box, but has the cover, and a deeper front with V-swap so components ought to fit there.

Very nice, and timely; my SB-LD arrived this morning. Actually, I'm going to send it to my brother for his birthday. It would make a great electrical bag though, with a meter and parts box in the back out of the rain, and plenty of space for tools up front. I'm going to try the TP-LC for that though, and see how it goes. If not big enough, well then I know what bag I'll buy to take advantage of next Spring's deal.

As I have at minimum 10 Veto bags I love this one as well. I’ve switched it to my primary service bag for this time of year. I look at each bag for what they are. Unfortunately every bag can’t cater to every person. I love this one as well.

I at least want my hands on them to see how they are different myself. Like many have said beforehand some people smoke drink or go to the bar we buy tool bags instead. And as my woman can atest to at least I know where you are 👍

Yeah it’s always good to get and try them during the promotion. If you don’t like them you can pass one on… or heck sell them both 6 months from now and make money

I have the TP-LC and used for like a month and then went back my Tech-MC. I didn't like having to rip that flap open and close it to get to the back pocket. I'm going to try that SB-LD, it looks better layed out. But think it'd be perfect if it had a flap on the front that zipped open like how the back does.

Awesome video! I missed this one somehow, glad it popped up in my feed. I have the Icon mini ratchet set and looking for a way to squeeze it in with minimal footprint. I only want to include the ratchet if I can fit a basic 1/4 socket set. Would the klein flip sockets be a viable/suitable solution, or would I be better off using the Makita socket rails you have shown? Would just be used for the oddball occasions.

Still playing with the loadout on my SB-LD, but am struggling with it a little bit as my meters seem to be a bit big. I don't like to have other stuff crushed up against the face of the meter, even had some digital meters get switched on when put back in the bag in the past.

Yeah it’s not a super tall bag. I plan on probably using my 324 in it, and keeping my T6 in the MB5 if it doesn’t fit. I haven’t tried yet, but I would prefer the opposite

The only thing I didn’t care for on the TPXL was the base size. It ended up being too tippy for me. That’s why I liked the LC better. I did like the way it fit tools though.

@MORGANSMaintenance that's fair I just meant it being wide, but the way the sb-ld seemed balanced enough could make that tip issue a non-issue.

@@chingonbass I’ve only had the OTMC and the SBLD now that are “open”… I prefer the closed for looks, but they aren’t bad.

@@MORGANSMaintenance I started with the Tech-mc and got annoyed with having to unzip both sides all the time so I got the Tp-xxl to replace it. Now i'm annoyed of the flap on the TP when i need to access the back pouch. So I figured the next logical step is to just get an open top. I'm just not sure which one. I'm thinking the OTMC and use the free SB-LD as my electrical bag.

I don't really like bags with the big flap over the top. Just another step to get to my tools. I don't find myself working in the rain.

I like it more for the look and keeping weather/dirt off my stuff. I just pull it back and leave it back while I’m working. I get why some people like the open idea though 👍

I tried the sb-ld with a little loadout and looks like they used the same base/footprint as the tp6b even. The reason this kinda sucks is they took from the front to make that pouch on the back. I was hoping they would leave about the same ish storage amount with the back compartment added. They did take alot of tool storage out in the new bag... I also found out that my fluke t6 in the case I got dosent fit as well I would have to seprate it from the leads and accessories. I was noticing the side pockets weren't too good for a m12 surge compared to the tp6b which in stock photo has one in there. It's gonna find its way to a worker most likely but I sure did like trying to make it work. I gave away my tp-lc and regret it when it was a free bag because of the cover so who knows!?! I did get my drill pouch free bag and I do like it already I can tell it's gonna be useful already. Though I wouldn't hang it off a normal work belt I'd get heavy fast.... I may toy around swaping out on a tool bags/belt for a ultralight primary pouch.

If the back meter pouch space was forward and had 2 rows for instead if zipper area bingo that's the 6b. There was space up front for m12 or meter but feels less crowded. If I didn't at least get and try I'd wonder if.... I thought the tplc was way to small to be usefull and dismissed it gave it away now I see for my purposes it was better than the 6b or sbld. Veto bags are kinda one of thoes thing that people inherit because there so expensive and you just want it to go to a good home good 👍

It’s not much different. I do like the. Bigger spot in the back, I just wish it had a flap. It can always be an open top while working with the flap back 🤷‍♂️

Like in other comments I'm kicking myself for giving it away to a hood home. The sbld and tp6b are decent but not nearly as good for many people's purposes.

I'm looking forward to getting my SB-LD and make it my electrical bag. I got the Tech XL Wheeler to be my new general purpose bag. It's my first Veto bag and it is quite nice (but man it's expensive). Plumbing tools graduated to my old general purpose bag. Should make for a better bag setup. Glad that Veto does these Spring promos; otherwise, I would have had trouble justifying the expense.

Yeah, it’s really the only reason I can get myself to buy bags to try. I don’t “need” a new one.. but I always eventually ended up selling one or two to get me close to what I pay during the promo

@@MORGANSMaintenanceI had been using Toughbuilt bags for my General, Electrical and Plumbing bags. They are quite a good value and far less costly than Veto. My general tote just got too heavy to lug around (even with a shoulder strap) and Toughbuilt didn't have a wheeled bag with enough pockets. With the Veto Spring promo, I thought that I would finally take the plunge into Veto and get two bags for the price of one. So far the Tech XL Wheeler is working out quite well. It had better for that price, lol. I'm still going to keep my smaller Toughbuilt bags, as I like the ability to quickly clip them on/off my belt.

I'm the back not likely unless it's fairly small. I suggest getting a hammer to fit the tool bag most of the time like that wiha electrician hammer or a small 10oz Vaughan finish hammer would fit nicely. If your on a budget a 16oz stanley for 7 at hd and cut the handle down would be a good option.

I just tried a few hammers handle up no problem even a 28oz easwing but it's tall Head down I can fit a 10oz stellto and almost fit a 15oz tiibone head on the sides suits gonna be tight for hammer head down. Sorry I don't have more examples for you.

I do have a suggestion for you many of thr bigger bags have big d rings on the side (mc/mct/xl/techpack) many of us slide hammers handles down that big d ring to fit them on the side of our bags(I do that with my techpack). If you want to do that with these bags put a big carabiner or slip ring on the handles d ring. This would allow you to slide a hammer handle side down and stay upright.

Probably a Tech MC, but I’ve never had one of those. I started with a Tech MCT which is taller, that’s the “T of MCT”. There are some taller tools you can’t fit in the MC. If you don’t mind an open tote.. the OT-MC is a little bigger than these

A TPXL is not much bigger and tippy in my opinion… after that it’s a TPXXL or MB5B

How do you clean the Veto bags?

Soapy water cleaning wipes you won't hurt them even with nylon or stiff brush if it's really bad. Goof off acetone didn't hurt my bag when I got some oil based paint and alcohol based shelack primer on it.

I often time use those crocodile wipes I use on everything else. Houdini on a rag too.
