This video is more of a “tools in the bag” video. I share in this video how I plan to use the bag, along with the tools and how I have them laid out. I personally think I have it a bit heavy, but I will weed out tools from here.

Great to see your load out, thanks for sharing. I am finding the small outside pocket a little larger and don't hold tools quite as nicely. Also found that the bit hold sockets inside the front pouch are smaller and don't hold my 3/8 drive deep sockets and extension like my other bag.

@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 3 месяца назад
Yeah, I think I can lose either the flip sockets or the pass thru’s.. I may have to run the pass thru’s for awhile and see if the length is too long, too often. If so I may have to keep the flip sockets instead since I can put them on shorter shafts.

Got this on the way as a freebie along with the TP-XXL - makes it much easier to pull the trigger on a premium-priced bag when you get two. I'm pretty stoked to be receiving two very promising looking bags both with nice meter compartments. This SB-LD could end up my main bag because of that. Very nice & well-designed bag by the look of things - as expected of Veto at this point - I can't wait to get them. The size of the pile of tools out of these things contain is always surprising - like a clown car. Seems like your setup covers most things you could encounter in many trades. In addition to some of what you have, I'll have a Wera tool check in mine, along with a Milwaukee Fastback 1505, and their new 8pc insulated slim-tip blade driver set '48-22' which are nice. Might consider your 51 01 210 carpenters cutters/hammerhead as a hammer stand-in (for things like wire staples)!

I am always amazed at what they will hold. I thought about the XXL but ended up with the MB5B, still unsure about it. I carry a 1505 in my pocket all the time, really good knife.

Morgan loved the video and finally great to see a loadout for this bag. I do a lot of low voltage work and been looking to get this as bag for my hand tools and meters. I think my favorite part of your video is the Klein 8 in 1 stubby with the Riley sheath where it clicks in perfectly. I found it on Riley Knife and Tool website but was just curious if that's the only place to purchase it. Also curious how its been holding out and if you ever notice any wear over time. I'm in the same boat with many that either the stubby goes in too far or inadvertently pops out and drives me crazy! Thank you!
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 3 месяца назад
I don’t think he is selling them on anything else. He still hand makes them all individually as far as I know. I haven’t had any issues with any of mine. The stubby one is really just a sheath and some fasteners so I can’t see it really tearing up, especially how I’m using it. I have some of his for my bigger screwdrivers that have belt clips on them. I haven’t had any issues with those either, but I also only use them in special circumstances.. not everyday. They seem quality built to me, but even if you have an issue multiple people have reached out saying how easy he has been to deal with on support. I’m sure he would make it right.

In my option here’s what you can get rid of: Side cutters- you have the knifed carpenter style , the LN47ACF and the knipex installation pliers all with cutters. You have the Klein stubby so you don’t need the Wera mini screwdriver. The knipex pliers wrench is technically an adjustable wrench so I would carry 1 of each. And they can compliment each other if you needed to use them on opposing sides of a nut. I think you can either get rid of the Kleins but drivers or the flip sockets, since they’re one and the same. And as you mentioned, you don’t need the hex keys AND the ball end. Remember what they say “ounces are pounds and pounds are tons”

I would like to have a flap myself. That’s just like it was raining here today and even with the bag in my truck with the doors open, I still got some sprinkles on my tools. Just opens them up for rust (not mine since I clean and Houdini the Fire out of them)… but for most.
@Justin-C
@Justin-C 3 месяца назад
@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah, with the TP-XXL on the way and this SB-LD as a freebie.. despite wanting to possibly downsize even more, lack of a flap against rain is one reason I might stick with the TP-XXL as a main. I have the icon mini ratchet set and im looking to squeeze it in with minimal footprint but i really want to have 1/4 sockets to pair with it. Are the klein flip sockets a viable/space saving option or would I be better suited using the maktia socket rails you have shown? I have similar railer bit rails to cover bits.
@MORGANSMaintenance

The flip sockets work, just not as small a footprint as the Makita Sockets on the hex adapter that comes with the Icon.. you can get them in tighter spaces. For general use out in the open, the flip sockets do fine.

I cut down my drill bit set to 5 drill bits on a tiny railer and "veto'd" all my hoex bits down to the 2in ball end set dumped the 1in ones and lost a pound or so. I have almost dumped the side cutters as well as the linesman for the marvel cross cut combo pliers (engineer vampliers makes one) since that does twisting and cutting 90% of the time. Those adjustable wrenches and the two pliers wrenches seem rather redundant. I'd get rid of the adjustables. Though, I carry one pliers wrench and one Bahco big-mouth adjustable. The bahco adjustable wrenches are lighter than thoes in your bag or go lobster which are crazy light. I know it sounds crazy but I wore a mp1 with a basic loadout every day all day (when i was working as an hvac tech full time) it cut down on how much was in my tech bag because I was always going to have that mp1

Yeah, I pull out my MP pouches more than anything. I may need to think like that. Take a MP pouch anyway, then take the similar tools out of the bag 👍

@@MORGANSMaintenance yep I always had a beater flat head Klein hvac screw driver knipex dykes knipex forged strippers assorted markers and drill bits and razor knife and a multi meter in my back pocket so you could open your driver door and walk in and probe enough at the problem to figure out what else you need. I’m now a general contractor and my daily driver is dimondback mazo that just changes based on what environment I’m working in.

I try to. That is a brand new bag, I just got it… but I do typically wipe off my tools and keep them lubricated.

Hello. I went over to your Amazon page to look for the storage container and the tiny brush, I take it they're not listed?

I have it is the description, my SBLD list isn’t showing up in my store for some reason. I will add it again. The store is a work in progress I’m still working on it when I find time. The storage container I got with some Wagos I ordered. They Wagos came inside it… these here amzn.to/3Jf0tu8 I will add the brush in the store though. Thanks for the heads up 👍

I took a piece of scrap aluminum I had and put some hook/loop on it. Then screwed a tape measure clip on it

Yeah, they might be the first thing that ends up going. I can generally use a wrench to get whatever either torqued down or broke loose after the finger spinning. Not a huge time saver to have those all the time.

Does anyone know how to get veto pro pac in Mexico. Those bags are nice. But I think they don’t ship to Mexico

My MB5B already has stitch damage where the shoulder straps attach, kinda disappointed considering I'm under the payload (about 20 pounds). Worst part is it hasn't even made it to a jobsite yet... I tried to stick a meter and m12 impact in the back pocket and was very sad i couldn't fit both inside. 😅🥲 Also, did you get the DP3, too? If you did, you should make a video on that ,too.

My MB5B hasn’t left my garage yet.. that does stink. I hope Veto doesn’t start cutting corners on things. I didn’t get a DP3.. my buddy might be ordering a bag though and I told him I would buy the DP3

You should get the dp3 it's nice i ordered the kp-xl so I could get it. The kpxl actually is really nice it's either on my front passenger seat or behind and I store common use things. I didn't think it was worth 100+ but the free bag pushed me over. Now looking back yea I would have ordered it solo if I knew how usefull it was.
