This is a one year review of the VEVOR lathe. The last video was about if you should buy one. This isn’t the best lathe but if I didn’t have it for the stuff I do my life would be a lot more difficult. It works for what I use it for.
They are nice to have for many projects . I've owned three lathes in the past . They were old Atlas lathes that I picked up and refurbished . I would use them for a while and someone would offer me 3 times the price of what I had in them and I sold them off . I should have kept one of them .
Nice video's! Im subbed. Im much like you i do alot of multiple projects ranging from rifle building to car projects. I have been wanting a lathe for many years now. I found these vevors on Amazon and the price caught my eye so ive been researching them which lead me to your video's! I have one question about the lathe. Ive notice it says it's threads 8-44 tpi. But on the cover chart is skips 12 and 13 tpi. Can you thread 12 tpi with it? I work on alot of mauser projects and 12 tpi is pretty important to me lol thanks and keep up the good work on the videos!
Thanks for watching the video. It is a good lathe for not so precise work my buddy has a lathe I do my threading on never threaded on this one. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Only if you’re making lite passes. If you’re looking for a real precise work all the time don’t buy it like I said, I use it for bushings. Making a bolt here and there stuff like that.
