That's a great idea. I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it. The company did a shoddy job with that 'earth terminal' cable/insulation, in my opinion. I've always noticed things like that with all the various equipment I've been around and used. Great video.

My first thought is it might be good for tig welding . But, a real test by you will show its value in the shop.

Many put down these inexpensive tools for the fit, finish, and longevity problems they may have. Yes, if you are a professional welder using something like this every day, several times a day, you'd want something much better and much more expensive. However, if one is a hobbyist or otherwise, and only needs something like this every now and then, there's no need to spend more. Another youtuber always says that it's "horses for courses."
