VFR Flight on a Beautiful Private Phenom 100 (PSP-SNA)

I live a mile from BUR, I absolutely love the airport!

Hi Ryan, I was a student at UCLA in the mid to late 60's and lived in the Hollywood Hills just above Cahuenga Pass.That was the pre-hijacking days and we would take the PSA Midnight Flyer from BUR to SFO. Cash ticket sales on board the flight $10. You just showed up and climbed the stairs to the cabin when the plane was full if there were still enough people waiting PSA would add another bird. Wow what memories.

On vacation from Ireland back in 1976, I remember being in awe flying into Southern Cal`s John Wayne airport, and being in awe of the ``Duke``, I felt privileged to be even in his neighbourhood at that time. A distant relation by the name of McDermott had a medical practice in the area ( Villa Park ), and I still have awesome memories of my visit and trips to Lion country, The Queen Mary and Redondo beach amongst others. Hard to believe more than 40 years have passed !!!!

Great career? The Airlines are finally starting to PAY because no one wants to get into this crap! after 28 Years I can get days by 1 slot, I'll be working Christmas day, could get one weekend day (SM ) IF I went back to Mids. You'll never have Holidays, Weekends or a Normal life.... Divorce is Rampant we've even lost people to suicide, years later your joints will feel the results of "Bucking Rivets" . We used MEK in the day.... it's gone now?? (Probably around under a different name) it goes straight to your liver and eats it up... (Without your Liver / Your a Dier) IF your a young kid think this thing through because it isn't the Luxurious lifestyle your thinking it is. It takes a special type person to live this lifestyle especially once your kid is in school and you can't get those school time Vacations... your forced to go to war with the school over pulling your kid out of school and going on a Family Vacation during an abnormal part of the year (When YOU'RE able to get Vacation). from 20 to 30 Years old I worked nights with TW Off and drank a Helluva lot of beer, Liquor, even Wine at one point... I quit drinking at 35 because I realized it wasn't the answer to my problems. Dealing with this lifestyle and it's ABNORMALITIES.. was something that needed to be dealt with sober and straight up... I'm sober and have a very understanding wife and Child. Just some things to think about.

Yep...... and as I vote on Contracts I like to keep the future generation in mind when the companies keep trying to extend the pay scale top out time. 5 years is the current it took me 10 Years to finally hit the top which wasn't even really good $$ at the time. IF you want the money Hit Fed Ex or UPS! Thats where it's at! Fed Ex is a good Company. UPS wants you to live and Breath UPS.... They'll pay you and make you Rich... YES.... But with a Price... Your time......... your days, minutes and hours will be UPS and ONLY UPS...

It's owner Patrick McCall is a Southern California attorney who has been a pilot for more than 30 years and has a great reputation as a supporter of General Aviation.

I enjoy all things aviation, the engine noise is very high on my list of cool sounds. If the engines were near silent, I'd hate it.

RyanBomar maybe the engine noises sound a lot better when you are actually in the jet. I wouldn't know. I've been in these kinds of jets before, but not when it's running. I'll take your word for it. But the jet is very beautiful

I was just flying a Phenom 100 in XPlane11 simulator, and the engine noises sound great but yep, the dogs were coming running....? Definitely high-pitched which is apparently true to the actual aircraft.

Thanks so much! I actually flew SNA-SMO on a JetSuite Phenom, which is also on my channel. It's always a blast departing that airport!

Sadly, with newer jets, they've pretty much done away with the ski jump departures. It's pretty much the same as any other airport now.

I absolutely love the VLJ's! They're a ton of fun to fly on, and pretty darn quick...especially considering the low fuel burn. Trust me, if the people at Cirrus and Honda came knocking, I'd be ecstatic to do a video!

That pretty much sums it up.

I was on-board with Philip (LoveJT8D) on this shoot. We agreed prior to the flight to keep the front seat open, so no one blocks the other's view, while looking forward from the rear. If I was flying alone, sure, I would have been up there in a second.

It's a visual warning that the door is completely unlocked or not. If it's closed you know the door is shut properly.

No, the aircraft is high. 1) Four white lights 2) The runway is obscured by the cockpit ceiling 3) You can hear the engines come back to idle and 4) the shape of the runway is clearly from a high angle.

I appreciate it. With the flare on landing, you wouldn't have been able to see anything from the rear cabin. That's why I supplied the passenger view.
