VFX Breakdown - Doctor Who 2005 Title Sequence Remake 

My methods were not the most efficient or effective out there, but I hope by sharing this, you and other 3D artists might be inspired! I must say, your work has certainly inspired me!!

This didn't take too long to render. Being a scene with little reflections meant it went by pretty quick! I added a few things after rendering, I had to blend the fade between the 2005 and 2018 logo better, and did this by increasing the brightness and contrast for the transition. But that was about it! Thanks for the question 😊

Usually these title sequences take 10-24 hours worth of work plus an additional fee hours for rendering time. This one was on the longer end of the spectrum as I hadn't yet made a 2005 box and because the vortex was quite hard to get down - even with all the work I put into it, I still think the vortex could be better! This one wasn't too bad in terms of rendering, probably taking around 12 hours or so? I use Eevee render engine for most projects, so the render time is going to be pretty slashed whether I put in lots of detail or not. Thanks a lot for the question and I hope this helped 😁
