Have you ever wanted to connect from your computer to a newer TV or monitor?

VGA is found on many computers and monitors and is an analog signal. However, HDMI, which is found on many newer TV’s and monitors, is a digital signal and you will need to use a converter to connect between them.

Ive done just as the clip says, but its not working. Kindly assist. I have a Windows 7 Desktop computer i wish to connect to my Samsung tv, and yes it has a HDMI port.

Great video-"hi-tech guy" - can you answer a couple of my questions ??? 1) how much does this VGA to Hdmi configuration cost -ball park ?? ( as shown on your video???) 2) do you sell "all" that is needed ( wires, cables, converter,) as shown here ??? 3) will this work from a Laptop- VGA to a TV- HDMI ??? 4) Does your company ship to Canada ??? One other question ??? If I have a Laptop with VGA port, and if my TV has a VGA port as well, would this work, considering the TV works off digital signals, and I would be feeding the TV an analogue signal, from my VGA port on my Laptop to my TV. You do sound like a real whiz, and I'd really appreciate an answer to this question, as I'm also about to buy a new TV. Maybe I should buy only a TV with both VGA and HDMI ports, if they have them on the market like that. This will depend on your answer ?? if I can go VGA ( Laptop) to VGA ( TV) ??? Farheen Sara Hello so your laptop have an Vga and the projector have an Hdmi input then you should have the Vga to Hdmi converter the first adapter in the video. :)

For connecting my Laptop to my T.V I just use VGA cable of a good brand and it works fine. Quality wise HDMI is better than VGA but the quality of VGA is quite acceptable.

It may function at very short distances, but for most all applications you need the USB for Power.

YOu absolutely need the usb port or it will not work. The device is a analog to digital converter (essentially a computer) and it will not function without power.

No it works the other way round. This video shows if you have a PC with VGA port and you want to connect it to HDMI monitor, you can get this converter. The one you're looking for is shown at the very end of the clip.

Hello, you actually need the opposite converter, HDMI TO VGA... www.showmecables.com/hdmi-to-vga-video-converter-audio ... you may also need an additional VGA cable to go along with the converter www.showmecables.com/by-category/cables/audio-video/vga-monitor ... please note VGA only supports video, so you will not get any audio with this configuration... if you would like audio you would want this converter www.showmecables.com/hdmi-to-vga-video-converter-with-audio

Well i think this vid shows that from hdmi to vga? Meaning u connect the hdmi cable from the ps4 to this item and then you connect this item to ur vGA monitor? And gaboom u can play ps4 to ur vga monitor by using this item, Am i right? Correct me if im wrong. Thanks
