I love when Scorpy puppeteers PNG images. It gets me every fucking time. One of my earliest memories of Channel 17 was watching him do that for a whole stream. He didn't even talk, he just typed everything out on screen. It was funny as hell.
The first video is already creepy enough on itself, the long pauses, the tone of her voice, how she talks, how she acts, and then the tape distortion comes in and makes horrifying imagery, and if that wasn't enough, this method has been prooven to be not only unefective, but *harmful.* This video wants to hurt you.
"eyes left" would be a tape about strengthening your eyes to prepare them for when they leave your head and venture into the world, and how to live with your new simulacrum eyes until your real eyes return
It's not directly dangerous. It just tries to convince you not to wear corrective lenses or get eye problems treated. The dangerous part is that those problems still exist and can get worse.
That eye exercise thing is buck wild. Like, they mention Bates and include "sunning" your eyes, but leave out that his techniques are feom pre-1930. And his original version of sunning was taking a magnifying glass and basically burning your eyes.
WTF! I fell asleep watching this tape during the eye video, and had this weird dream I was seeing a vhs of australia and I went to actually watch this video today and nearly jumped out of my skin

So funny that in the face exercise tape they explicitly tell you to look neutral and miserable in your before picture, and happy and smiling in the after picture.

Their fear watching the dog grooming one when they were trimming the ears and eyebrows is the kinda shit that made me repeatedly turn down promotions from dog bather to dog groomer back when I did that because it was too scary. The pay was way shittier as a bather but the peace of mind was worth it
(sorry for commenting three years out of date) The really upsetting thing to me about the Eyes Right video is that some of the basic physical exercises are real things I was shown how to do in physical therapy (NOT to improve eyesight directly, but specifically to strengthen the muscles and ability to move the eyes). It seems like these real exercises weren't part of the original Bates Method, and I hate that they're folded in with all the fake and directly damaging stuff...
watching this as an australian has made my head explode. the dog clippers guy is on a TV show i used to watch with my family every friday night. I know all the places they showed in the tourism video and ive been on the PerthNow website. I probably delivered papers for them at some point. scorpy saying "isnt billabong a brand" gave me psychic damage. what the fuck.
