Hi, very nice video. Yes, your Calves are more engaged in grip and balance because they can in such shoes so they will take time to adapt.

I've been wearing vibram fivefingers since mid-highschool around 2012 and my favorite part about them is how I can stand up straight. For hours. I remember I used to sway back and forth in my shoes, I realized one day after I noticed how everyone shifts their weight from leg to leg, but I can stand outright on two feet straight up for 8 or more hours a day

@@DerekMartell that’s epic! I’ve never really noticed that but will keep an eye out.

Just got a pair of these bad boys for my workouts, my second pair of vibram fivefingers. My first was a V alpha that's still in amazing shape and that I still use. Will give my v-train a go outside when winter ends. All the best Joe!

Thanks! Would love to see a comparison of the ones you've tried so far :) which shoes are best for what use cases and which ones are the warmest and least smelliest.

Haha, all pretty smelly tbh...frequent washing and wearing socks is the trick here!

Nice I got the v trail 2s who offer even more protection against sharp rocks. Looking at getting the spyridon next they have straps instead of the drawcord but still offers the protection of the trail v2

hey thanks for the review! I'm looking to buy my first pair of vibram and am confused between the v-train and v-trek. All I want is a versatile and durable pair of shoes to use for workouts, walking, running and hiking. One RU-vid video I saw earlier today explained that the common wear problem with the vibrams is the toe section ( majority the biggest one) getting worn out due to excessive rubbing of the cloth/upper material between the toes. However to rectify this problem Vibram introduced some taping around the toes which can be seen in v-trail. hence confused between the two. your valuable feedback matters! 🙏🏻

Hey, no worries, I had fun! I don't have the V Trail but my girlfriend does and they are very well made! The V Train are super for working out, running and as you can see here hiking! I haven't tried the V Trial yet but like I say, my girlfriends are super cool and I need to buy some. I do also have the V Trek from a few years back, I have a review on my channel. These go further up the ankle but have laces which I don't like so much. Whichever you buy, if you use them a-lot I am sure they will eventually give in, you just need to buy many pairs like I have! Haha
@abhinav1860
@abhinav1860 11 месяцев назад
seems like an expensive deal. they cost around 130 euros where I live. I think I'll go with v-train as my first pair because I too have personally felt the pain of long fat laces. what about wear and tear around the toe area. ever happened to yours? @@TheHealthyTeacher

Hopefully with time, you will unleash their full Potential in terrain as your toes regain mobility and dexterity! Did you know that each of your toes can individually move in each direction (just like hands) ! 🙂 I recommend 5 minutes per day toe mind muscle connection exercise. Shout out from fellow vibram person! 🙂
@TheHealthyTeacher
@TheHealthyTeacher 11 месяцев назад
I would really like to do those exercises you mention. Any links? I usually squat barefoot so it would be super helpful
@undefinednull5749
@undefinednull5749 11 месяцев назад
@@TheHealthyTeacherSpace your toes apart with spacers first and: Insert stick between big toe and next toe. Thickness should be so it just touches both toes. This helps the neural circuit to fire up. Squeeze the stick as hard as you can and lift your door and grab the stick with your hand. Repeat 5 times per foot. (This is how I learned, before that I could not even move my toe sideways). If you get muscles spasms during any exercise this is just your muscles waking up from deep hibernation. Relax and it will go away. The dormant neural circuits are being used to working again. 😂 I also important and really interesting or even a bit crazy: if you get somewhat like short of breath or heart pounding this just the Noradrenaline (different form pure Adrenaline) kicking in. It is a helpful neuroadaptory mechanism related to dormant/paralyzed functions/muscles, breathe deeper as you feel it and let the blood flow harder, more oxygenated.. It is normal and safe and always people get improvements quicker with it. More advanced: squeeze together all your toes with stick between pinky toe. In my foot, squeezing toes togethdf also curls them downwards (due to deformations from wearing unhealthy shoes) but not as much as when I curl them downwards deliberately like when trying to grab a towel off the floor or digging into the soil (which is another exercise to try 5 repetitions each. Again a stick under the toes to stimulate nerve endings and help unhibernate neural circuits may help) Even more adv: move big toe outwards while keeping rest of toes squeezing together Expert: move in any combinations as you improvise and learn. You see where this is going.
@undefinednull5749
@undefinednull5749 11 месяцев назад
This all leads up to: individual toe control. In the position of last exercise of just moving/flicking the two smallest toes, try to move the pinky toe separately whichever way you will find it easiest. Try different positions/angles of the toes in combination with sticks or sandy ground if needed. At this point you shall be able to improvise and in a few days regain control of every other toe fully and perform master level exercises such as toe circles in opposing directions and any other combinations in short time.

@@TheHealthyTeacherSo these few comments of mine here sum it up well for you. I'd train this to people for money, but I believe that the goal of improving everyone's perception and health is most important Sorry, I did not reply earlier, I wanted to be detailed and inspirational and I did not have an hour of time earlier to write up my training program like now. I'd appreciate it if anyone would benefit from this and spread it further and so on. Please maybe show these comments in your upcoming video, it'd make me really smile.

@@TheHealthyTeacherHey man, your toe exercises should be to first get to know the basics. Take a look at foot muscle anatomy on Wikipedia for reference of what each muscle's possible function is. Depending on your current level, you may find that some of these exercises are more fun and challenging than others. Yes, the best aproach is to have fun and experiment :) 🙂. However, after a run or some exercise it may be easier for you to get a 5 minute span of hiqh quality focus.

Is it really a marketing blunder from Vibram? If you can sell two models for two separate purposes, why would you sell one model that covers two purposes?
