Just for fun I ordered some fashion items that were not intended for older women. Not many this time as I was testing whether I would like them or not. A really nice change to my usual smart, structured neutrals.
Dear Lady. Stop saying “ it doesn’t look that bad” you look gorgeous in every outfit even the jumpsuit, that I’d never even dare to think about. Wear everything you presented in good health. You are an inspiration ! P.s. I’d leave short pieces out.
Maybe you don't like the blue top, but it sure looks awesome with the pants! This one and the floral dress you wear, are my favorite looks. Have fun in Madrid!

You Go Girl ! I am tired of seeing videos telling me what I can and can't wear ! The biggie for me is being told to cover my arms with sleeves, in boiling hot temperatures! Pinterest is full up with fashion advice for older women, from sometimes frumpy women, wearing clothing and hairstyles, that I would only wear for gardening ! You looked fabulous in those clothes!

The first thing I thought when I started the video, was " What a pretty dress she has on". Recently, I watched one of those don't wear videos, and the presenters main advice was don't wear outdated stuff which was interesting and not what I expected.

Thank you for sharing the results of your fight against the fashion gurus! We are tired to be chastised for our choices, let's make ourselves happy. We don't need anymore to dress for the office or whatever uniform deemed correct, just wear what we feel good in. Your choices were just a great example of how anyone of any age could look dazzling. It is difficult to forget that what we buy is what is in the racks, even if we would want something else, unless running all over town to try to find exactly what we like. I am 80, and people just are stunned when they learn that. In older age we should just dress as we feel like that very day, we might not have so many of them left to enjoy ourselves!

How we dress and present ourselves to the world is an expression of how we feel so yes we are entitled to do it our way. What gripes me is that no other age group is told how they should dress, as if we are incapable of deciding ourselves. Well we are perfectly capable and we're going to have fun whilst we are at it. xxx
I have been saying the same thing. I love bright colors, florals and other clothes the RU-vidrs say we shouldn’t wear. At our age we can wear what we want. You go girl! It is so much fun to wear clothes that make us happy. You are adorable. I am home these days being a caregiver to my husband with dementia but he enjoys when I wear my pretty dresses. I love the Picasso dress, graphic jumpsuit , and the pig jumpsuit.

I think wear whatever makes you feel good, the important thing is to keep a reasonable figure in our older years. I love the black, beige and white geometric print dress.

I am in my 70’s. The ladies that I follow say 70s is the decade you can wear whatever you choose. Personally, I’ll skip a string bikini. But shorts,bright colors and prints are my jam.! I love choices. They do not age you, they showcase your personality.

OMG the 2nd dress you tried on is gorgeous and you looked fabulous. I am almost 70 but I still love to dress up and I don’t listen to these so called professionals I wear what I like and feel comfortable in. Perhaps the younger ones are threatened we older ladies would steal all the attention 😂😂😂😂😂
I’m 63 and love colorful fashion, mixing patterns and bold accessories. Just stumbled upon this video and I enjoyed it! Try colorful scarves in your hair and big earrings 😉

Loved everything on you.. The first dress especially looked really classy. Shorts? Not so keen to me they look a bit "pyjama" but that's just me, As you mentioned though they are great for really hot days.... I’m 82 and I’d wear all of these outfits. Got a crazy dress like your Picasso. Agree with you that I’m definitely not wearing shorts comfortably again. Legs are above and beyond!😊😅😮😢😂

I actually like the blue bat wing top on you. After seeing it on you I would purchase it. The outfit looked amazing on you. I am not a jumpsuit fan but seeing you wear them I may change my mind. I think we women of a certain age should embrace pattern and colour. Our lives should not be relegated to constantly being ready for a funeral.

There are too,many control freaks in the world that are never happier than laying down the law on what other people should do, have or think. I have wardrobe full of lovely clothes kept here and there over the last forty years of my life because I had the room to do so. I am going to have a ball wearing whatever looks good on me for the rest of my time here and will buy the odd piece or accessory to look here and now. And it’s nobody’s business but mine what I wear. Howzat!!!!
You look absolutely stunning in everything. I liked the blue top on you with the pants better than the white one you also wore with them. The sleeves looked fantastic. I’m nearly 71 and slim like you so often the more mature styles start at a size too big for me thank goodness! I wear a lot of stuff from the high street stores probably intended for 20’s and 30’s and as long as I choose wisely no one would think they are too young for me. Love this video.

I'm 71 and I'm a neutral girl, beige and pastels, classic/casual but this year Iooking in my wardrobe I thought 🤔 how boring and I've bought so many colourful things and also 2 bold printed long dresses. Just an fyi the jumpsuit that you were concerned about the crotch was a dropped crotch jumpsuit…very fashionable here in the US. Also loved to cobolt blue top was gorgeous with those pants. When I clicked on your video, my first thought was, “Wow… She looks *beautiful* in that floral dress!” 😍 There’s no good reason for us to abandon the notion of having fun with our wardrobe, just because we’ve reached some arbitrary age. We’ve earned the right to please ourselves and not give a flip about what others might think of it. The first 3 outfits were my favorites. I wouldn’t have chosen them, yet they looked amazing when you tried them on . . . Better than on the model! Now I want that jumpsuit! Subscribed 👍

Hi Caroline, I'm with you, I love shopping too and yes I love Temu etc. Sometimes all it takes is a nice accessory, like a scarf, to make you look special. I honestly don't understand why people of all ages get around in such sloppy clothes. Putting on nice clothes is not a huge effort and I think if you look well presented, you feel better about yourself. Thank goodness for Op shops. 😀
