Bentley Cont GT is probably the perfect GT... a car that could bring you in a long journey with huge load of item in the boot and a comfortable interior that could make you feel like home
@@straightbusta2609 yeah, the old Top Gear was the golden standard, but more because of the exceptional characters rather than the car reviews. I think the new Top Gear definitely misses that. The Bugatti vs Eurofighter was much better than the McLaren vs F35, right because of that. This lady is doing about fine. Not the gold sandard, but better than the new top gear.
Love the new GT. Although daft comment by VBH: "The last one was based on the undynamic VW Phaeton, which means underneath it's a VW Passat".....erm, no it doesn't. The passat isn't a Phaeton, it's a Passat.
Keep posting these videos up, nice review from my favourite female automotive journalist. I thought Vicki was Jeremy Clarkson's wife back in the days of old Top Gear 😂.
I had the previous model "GT Speed" what a car! Never mind the VW DNA it was a car I miss so much. The new shape just looks drop dead gorgeous!, especially in the Launch Edition Blue....... I will wait until the prices fall to realistic levels before my next Continental GT experience.....
I can’t imagine spending over 150,ooo £ on a car with the rear lights of Volkswagen ‘CC’. Wait..... sorry.... I can’t even imagine having 150,ooo £’s or dollars. Thanks for another great review on another amazingly elegant motorcar.
@Carl Vestergaard yeah, it is a great car.i dont have a job actually, well i used to before i quit it. i'm currently living off the financial market as an investor.
@@dakotaplies6511 If you're so smart with money then you won't need to be told what a huge money pit cars like this are! Maybe wise when its a few years old and taken its initial depreciation hit, but not for £160k when it will be worth about half that in 3 years. But trust me a car like that can burn through £150k in a surprisingly short space of time.
But it is still not a 911 on track! Off course it isn't! What sort of comparison is that! But it offers so much more than the 911 or any other sports car....
Get a Merc CLS .. u can easily fit 4 adults , their luggage , it has a powerful engine and the handling you need .. in addition to looking pretty too ..
She is the only one who I will ever get to know who mispronounces ''volkswagen'' (fockswagen?) but pronounces ''Porsche'' (Porsje) right on the other hand :D
gaat jeniksaan bro she is pronouncing it very correctly and the way these 2 companies are named in their respective areas .... both are Germans amd thats the way their names are pronounced
"Not a Porsche 911 on the track." Really, Ms Henderson? In what universe might anyone expect a Bently Continental GT to be in any way a 911? Silly remark, silly woman.
von Coconut Silly comment. That is what bentley wanted us to believe. Of course it was never gonna happen. But it’s not Ms Henderson’s fault to assess the car based on the manufacturer’s promises (however stupid they are). In my mind there is one moral to this story. Car brands just have to cut the bullshit. It’s just about time.
@@bazejwianecki9054 And if the manufacturer [PR company] suggested that the Bentley maybe be good for furniture removal would the intrepid Ms Henderson attempt to put a wardrobe in the boot? She's a motoring journalist and should not take seriously brochure bollocks but rather test the car under the circumstances of use for which it was intended - and that certainly wasn't track use.
von Coconut Well, she doesn’t test those cars for herself. Fifth gear is a popular car show that attracts not only the most diehard petrolheads, so it is necessary to state the obvious sometimes. I find it essential to confront the pr bollocks with the reality, however detached they may seem. Just because manufacturers must take responsibility for promising something that they don’t deliver, especially for the price tag of 200k +. Anyways, who of the bentley buyers expect their new gt to handle like 911? Is it something they strived for? So what is this crappy advertisement and who is this for? They really should know better. Not classy at all by bentley. And it should NOT be ignored.
