Author, historian and political commentator Victor Davis Hanson analyses events in the United States as the election drama continues to unfold. Biden looks likely to gain the Presidency, but the ultimate winners and losers of this election are still being decided.
Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
In addition to writing hundreds of articles, book reviews and newspaper editorials, Hanson is also the author of twenty-four books. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush, and was a presidential appointee in 2007-08 on the American Battle Monuments Commission.

John is missing an important point: Trump’s “brash” personality helps to make him more likable because he has the guts to openly challenge the elitists, and because of his record achievements that directly affect them. Our country may be “brash” by world standards (very superficial ones), AND we’re proud of it! I'm not from USA, though whenever i talked to Americans all of them were embarassed in front of us not Americans about Trump. I guess there is a reason for that, everybody nationalist and patriotic is more concerned by home affairs and doesn't quite reach out to foreigners (American exceptionalism mindset), while democrats are opposite of that. Therefore the world only hears democrat Americans. We in the world were much into what was going on in the States, because you are the ones that dictate the western orientation. Or so we thought until Trump showed up. Then we realised it's never the people, it's the elites. I wonder if there could be a call out for voters to check in individually and indicate how they voted in certain disputed cities or counties. All it would take is discovery of discrepancies in one or two areas to indicate widespread manipulation.

The day youtube started paying uploaders for their # of subscribers and video views they turned me off and then they started letting them upload click bait thumbnails for their videos that had nothing to do with the video. RU-vid used to be a place for people to upload videos not for fame or money but for fun. Now its turned into a big greed infested sea full of ads you are forced to watch and the youtuber influncers who make money off of your clicks while the real american workers slave away to earn $1 at a 9 to 5 job.

Trump’s lawyers fought the recounts in court in 2016 so what is good for the goose is good for the gander. He should expect a legal fight against any recount not authorized by law and he should expect to lose. Hillary did not request the recounts in 2016 it was the Green Party and they only got one in Wisconsin.

I’m 56 years old and I have lived in Texas the whole 56 years. My grandmother had 16 children. So this means I have 32 aunts and uncles in north Texas, South Texas, west Texas and east Texas, like myself.,And this only include my family! I also have friends who live all over Texas. Texas is NOT even close to blue! Texans love God, Guns and country way too much to ever vote for Biden! And the few Dems I know said they wouldn’t vote for Biden because they felt he was a racist who can’t even speak correctly! My Goodness, were in the Bible Belt! And WRONG! Have you noticed that states go from red to blue, as they go from white to brown? California was a solid red state, when it was 89% white back in 1970. Now, it is only 30% white. More than 60% of non-whites in Texas voted for Biden. Our country is right now only 59% white and in 20 years, it will be less than 50% white. I think there are peaceful, ethical measures to deal with the cultural demographic changes that are moving along with the racial demographic changes. But we have to be aware of it first.

He has farm roots & influences (grew up on, currently runs a vineyard, deals with EPA, uses Spanish in talking w his neighbors and hired hands, etc.) and he still resides in rural America. He also is reticent of his family's own military service so he draws on that. In one of his presentations I heard him talking about the time growing up that he would hang out at the farm's irrigation turnstile & just shoot the breeze with other similar blokes. Though you didn't say where you emigrated to, I am a US citizen and I deeply respect immigrants who leave their mother country to seek freedom, if they come and proudly stand on their own as free and independent persons. I feel more kinship to them than with any American who is fighting to undermine those freedoms here in USA. It is gratifying to see the Czech Republic thrive, although it is more socialist than I would want. They produce some of the finest firearms for the middle class market, a pleasure to own and use. I would love to go there some day.

What Hanson doesn't get,is the drive to pack the Supreme Court,and the Senate. Which looks like an attempt to make this country a one party state. I have read comments where the self identified lefties crow about making this a one party country. The most common comment was ( this will make it impossible for conservatives/Republicans to ever win an election again ).

Yep - you only have to look at the numbers who believe this election was fraudulently won. Yes, I think people felt they had been misled by the polls last time, and this time they got out and voted.

That is one of the best insights that Twain gave us. It explains a lot about where we are today. No one wants to think that they were fooled. That makes it easy for people to keep on and on believing the propaganda they have been marinated in.

@@frankpaya690 Just because someone has has sworn an affidavit doesn’t mean it is true or the evidence will be accepted by a court. In most court cases there are competing affidavits from witnesses. It is likely the Election Board will file affidavits from other witnesses who were there also, saying the opposite to the affidavits filed by Sidney Powell or those claiming fraud. Until further independent evidence is called, eg by subpoenaing other documents and the witnesses are cross examined- you can’t say what has been proven.
