I'm sure they mean late because most of these great players have been training since they were 6yrs old. He has only been playing for a year. Remember...LeBron got in the NBA out of HS...so yes...late at playing ball to be an NBA prospect
Late bloomer because alot of great players have been training since 6yrs old. LeBron was in the NBA out of HS. So in those terms...yes...he is a late bloomer
@@victorbruno4584 yeah it’s really tall but it’s apparently not his family’s dna potential. Like if there’s a family where one brother is 6’4 at 18 and the other is 5’10 at 15, the 15 year old is still tall but people would say he’s a late bloomer.
Remeber that Wembayama family is a basketball family not only tall guys. The Mother, Grand father and even the grand mother she play basketball in college. The father was a tracks and field athlete
@@Hithere-wo4fw I USE TO SAY THAT I USE TO SAY when a mommy and a daddy love each other very very much They cuddle Hard and sometimes u see white or grey stuff that's liquid I said that to a 5th grader
Actually, not really. Unless he is able to pick up an insane amount of skill in such a short amount of time, he would be better off getting that extra 3-4 inches to be a 7 footer. A decent skilled center is much more likely to get PT than a decent skilled wing.
@@purpleirklegrovestreet Joel started playing at 16 and Hakeem started at 17 , David Robison started at 16 or 17 his senior year. Dennis at 21 ( seriously).
France is building a super team at this point I’m pretty sure wembanyama is the name of a secret French program to clone the future goats of basketball
He doesn't have to be a 7 footer. 6'8" at 15 years old is still an NBA ready frame. Of course he'll have to put on weight and work on his skillset, but as far as height, he could stop growing today and still have an advantage at being 6'8".
@@carlpatrickragas2159 Nah, the average height in the NBA is 6'6". At 6'8" that's 2 inches above average height and he has very long arms. Skill set is what he needs to work on. But 6'11" would be crazy and it is in his blood. 🤷
Wenbanyama is easily the biggest French star since Tony Parker. Crazy cause Boris Diaw didn't think another Frenchmen could garnish the attention that Parker did.
Nowadays kids are generally much taller than their parents. My dad is 5'5, mom is 5'2 but I'm 5'11. Wemby's growth tracks with what was projected for him. Maybe there was a bit of a blessing there, but yeah.
@@brigs247__8Same thing for me too. My mom is 5'4 and my dad is 5'6. Yet I grew to 6'0. Then again on my moms side, her shortest brother is 6'2. While her tallest is 6'6.
Ima be honest… I’ve hopped my whole life and just recently played a “backyard” version of handball and I feel like the 2 sports translate surprisingly well
Think about Victors defensive instincts, and remember that Hakeem was primarily a Team Handball player before he picked up basketball. Let's hope those goalkeepers hands and instincts follow in his brother's footsteps
@@finnrombaut5962 Well you see the Wenbanyamas are very tall, he is asking who the Wenbanyamas’ parents are. Boban is also a very tall man, but his parents are not so tall. So I was essentially saying, “You’d be surprised” in response to the question, “Who are their parents💀”
@@andersensplob9082 How would he be surprised? I mean his mother is 6'3 which is tall for a woman and his father is 6'6 so if yout ake that into consideration its jot that surprising.
@@Bigmike55626 it’s the world 🌍 not only Europe….and when we talk of non-American players taking over NBA , they’re Africans not Europeans ….we got Embiid , Giannis , Siakam , and a lot more players dominating Basketball in general (EUROLEAGUE,Chinese league) AFRICANS ARE TAKING OVER BASKETBALL
@Dabbing Noob I actually thought the booze twins were 10th grade this year. Bryce tryn to get used to his height that really takes a toll on your strength and mobility at first. I watched my nephew go through the same thing. I'm looking forward to Bryce junior year that's when I see his strength catching back up.
I can't believe you mentioned cooper flagg. I watched him win states when he was in Maine. I can not wait to see him make the league. I even got an autograph from him.
Between both wembanyama , Bilal Coulibaly who was a good rookie and probably a solid player for the next 10 years, and Risacher and Sarr next season (ngl I'm not confident on Sarr, but still), the French 2028 Olympic team will be fun to watch.
Nope : Oscar didn't. Victor played both BB and soccer (as a goalkeeper, that's why both arms are fast and accurate) then chose BB. His brother wasn't a BB fan because he didn't wanted to be compared... like Vic, who admires many players but want to be "unique".
No glaze, I promise. But Wemby’s showcase of class, professionalism, and intelligence throughout his rookie year and beginning his tenure. His family’s minds are in the right places. For his brother to move on from another sport that requires hand eye coordination and fast thinking. Basketball transition is literally riding a bike for this family.
