It really is crazy. On one hand he has a whole highlight reel halfway through the season. But if you watch his games you see that he makes a TON of mistakes. He is #1 in turnovers per minute and takes wild low-percentage shots all too often. And he gets visibly tired in the 1st qtr so he's not even able to play as hard as he wants to right now. But this just means he has SO much room for improvement on what is already pretty great.
Thank you! It is kind of annoying in this microwave society we are in today to see some people say Wemby should leave SA after his rookie season. Some of these people expected Wemby to make the Spurs contenders in his first season. You have people out there that think this way. Which makes me wonder do they have an ounce of knowledge on the history of 1st overall picks literally going to the worst teams in the league every year.
@@MarquisVegan Marquis, exactly. I started out this year skeptical of certain phases of Victor’s game but have quickly become a deep believer (although what OKC is doing is on a different scale.) The Spurs can make a giant leap as they add young pieces and perhaps a star free agent comes in. But it will take time (I think Markelle might be RFA this year. Good luck. The Cavs and Clippers right now are the favorites, in my opinion.
San Antonio would just get him a good point guard he would be averaging 25 for the season. So many scoring possibilities get missed by SA. If you watch one of their games it's really frustrating.

Wemby is coming from European style bball , just like Kobe, who I followed in the Italian league years ago. Victor is displaying the same adjustments Kobe did, and he is quickly showing his abilities on an upward trend every month. The Spurs are a young team and will be breaking records soon. I came to France 27 years ago when the French didn’t to anything with a ball except kick it. It took Tony Parker to make the French know it was possible to shoot a ball into a hoop. Relax, he’ll break all records !
