Yes it definitely was, one of the worst nights I've ever had, including the evening beforehand when I was out and couldn't come home until around 9PM when it eased up a bit, and had to watch it burning from Joondalup. But then it got worse again at 11 and we had to leave, and with such a restless and scary night, riding this train cheered me up for a bit. I basically didn't sleep this night, then went to school after this filming, and then got home and fell asleep at 6, not waking up until 14 hours later!
@@TransportofPerthGoodness me I am so sorry it sounded like a really traumatic last couple of days for you. I hope this fire is put out ASAP especially since the weather is cooling down finally
Luckily I didn’t have to get evacuated as I was in the light green zone. This might sound weird but it was a slight bit cool only cause I saw firefighting planes and helicopters, but I would not set a fire just to see them I’m happy your safe. (Did you put that part in the video because of my comment on the last video)
@@Twirlinggamer Yes partly I just didn't want people constantly commenting questions about it so I just put it in, plus it was basically the reason I got to film the first service anyway.
You had to leave because of Bushfire, damn. I hope your family is safe. I faced a similar situation in the Brisbane 2022 floods, where we had to evacuate due to rising flood waters in the nearby wetland (there is a wetland literally behind my neighbour's property). Luckily, all that flooded was the backyard shed, but the actual house was fine. Our neighbour's house did get flooded though, so after we cleaned out our shed, we helped them out a bit. During times of disaster, especially in Queensland, the local community always comes together and helps each other out. I hope you and your family are safe, though.
the female voice actually recorded a bunch of other stations, so instead of coming back, she said every suberb or station name that could be on the network. Im pretty sure that's what happened with the airport line
I’m really sorry about what happened to you on the evening of the bushfire and yeah I was still asleep on the day this was filmed luckily you survived ❤
I mean since I’m in the area often, I could get the announcements for you Unless you’ve already recorded them Still won’t be able to get the stadium ones :/
Actually they have use the the sidings before this when the was a inncedint at queens Park and when the have terminated train the at Victoria Park when the was a accidentally Carlisle stn and Queen Park it was a while ago now
I've heard the female and male announcement on the A series and only heard the female announcer on the b series and have yet to hear the male announcer. I'm wondering what the c series male and female announcer will sound like.
Hello Transport of Perth! I'm interested in understanding the workings of the express train system, such as details on speeds, stations served, and frequency of service. Thanks! I also want to express my empathy for your situation. Wildfires are very scary and dangerous. I hope you are well.
The express system wasn't really that complicated, especially since only the Armadale Line has been running them for the last few years. I would recommend going to the Transperth website and downloading the old timetable for the lien before it is taken off and studying it there, you should be able to understand it pretty fast. Thanks for your understanding at the situation we were in!
Huh that makes no sense, unless they will be running Stadium to Vic Park services and then Perth to Stadium express on event days, that would be so weird.
The drivers can choose male or female manually on the system on the A series, B series is female only. I guess it's a personal preference and probably most don't care and leave it on whatever it is on when they take the set. But that is why it might change randomly mid-service - the driver has manually changed it for whatever reason.
@@TransportofPerth hahaha maybe they want some variety in their day instead of listening to one voice all day. But like blanc said, it could just be set different in the computer in each cab and they aren't bothered enough to change it. Then you'll get a driver swap and they might change it a couple of stops later if it bothers them.
When was it changed to lowercase? You mean the other way around? They are using caps here because it means that the driver are inputting it manually since they don't have a programmed one for Vic Park.
@@armadalegarbo Oh that I don't know, just a random change I guess. Maybe specifically to distinguish between manual and programmed destos. I think the lowercase looks better though.
