I know that Vicki saved Daniel in 1795, but since the same Collins family exists before Vicki's journey back, surely Phyllis Wick must have done the same thing in the original timeline, and perhaps it was she who also fell in love with Peter Bradford. So maybe Vicki is given too much credit for saving Daniel and in the end Vicki changed none of the established history. Just a thought.
When Vicki goes back in time - she upsets the time balance - we believe Vicki as Vicki saved Daniel and interesting to think Phyllis would have saved him…or maybe he would’t have been in danger. We don’t know. We wish Phyllis Wick had become a character on the show with a story arc.
@@MacAndChat I think Daniel would have still been in danger, because all the events that led up to Millicent giving Daniel the money and setting up Nathan's plot, would have happened because Vicki/Phyllis did not influence those choices. I also imagine Peter Bradford would have fallen for Phyllis. It seems the only logical answer, but YMMV.
Vicki was great at the start but she became far too stupid and ignorant annoyance. Vicki defended killer vampire Barnabas fully unaware that he was the killer. She defended him against Burke when Burke was investigating Barnabas. Maggie tough? Vicki was really dumb. As our focal point, she was just turned into a victim just like Maggie. The actresses did what they could.
