Nice finds Nenad. I best get some good returns on the SDC before the outlay for a GPZ. Beats my 5 days of bird shot and a threepence :-). Hope you all do well at month end. Cheers mate
Thanks Wayne. The SDC has been out a while now, a lot of spots have been hit hard with the Minelab Vaccum :-) If I get out to an obvious spot, and I start finding shot, I know I'm in with a pretty good chance!
Great stuff Nenad. I was lucky enough to find my first gold recently next to a big hole similar to you there. How would you say that gold got there? Thrown out and missed back in the day?
The old timers missed a lot, probably digging down to the payable wash dirt, there may have been pockets of thinner layers of gold they didn't bother processing. Also, some nuggets can be totally encased in dense clay, or still in host rock etc. And then there is the fact that old diggings were probably reworked at least a couple of times, so dirt gets mixed around, some payable dirt would even slide off a wheel barrow etc. etc.....all reasons why a nugget can be literally anywhere.
Bigger nuggets are easier to find :-) It's just previous machines mopped up all the bigger/shallower bits. So the SDC excels on the smaller stuff left behind. If there's a big nugget within range, you can bet it'll pick it up!
I could start a shotgun shell refilling business with the amount of led shots I've found with my sdc even my zed. Great stuff nenad, I believe I got my sdc batteries from you. The best batteries I have for it.
Stick to good quality NiMH C Cells, and make sure the + tab is nice and flat/wide. I use & sell AccuPower 6000 mah and the AccuLoop 4500 for my back-up set, as they are Low Self Discharge, so stay charged up when not in use.
I had a gold bug 2 and many thought that it was not hot stone and iron and gold and acusava.esse detector SDC 2300 ELIMINATES hot stone dam that false signals? I live in Brazil
There are so many variables it is difficult to say. What I can say is the GPZ has a clear depth advantage over any other detector on gold that is spongy, prickly, or still in specimen form. I recently found some small gold that wouldn't register on the GPX5000 even rubbing the coil.
