One of my Victron Stand Alone/Off Grid supply and installs in Morangup Perth Western Australia. This one has Tindo solar panels, Victron Multi Plus 2 8kva inverter, Victron Smart Solar MPPT, Power Plus Energy batteries, Able generator all managed with Victron Cerbo GX in my custom built steel cabinet.

Nice job & clean install, I do have serious concerns about the amount of ventilation for the Victron gear though, i have mentioned elsewhere why I believe it needs temp controlled fans & maybe a slide out washable filter underneath for better cooling & ventilation, just to play safe if nothing else, but this gear can/does create a lot of heat in that small space, and I am sure that system & it uses is going to grow sooner than later. Beautiful execution all round, and I cant believe how much of a finished house they have in just 1 week, amazing. TFS. Cheers from Qld

Thank you and Yes I agree to an extent. There is actually some ventilation behind the back panel. In addition the entire system is in the shade and wont actually be working very hard. The Victron products are very durable and get installed in way worse locations in motor home and boats, there is plenty of ambient air in the cabinet. I will however be asking my client to monitor the temperature of the cabinet and better ventilation would be an absolute must if the cabinet was in the sun..

@@joondalupelectricalservice3201 my first multiplus 2 had no thermostat controlled fan. it gets too hot in the cabinet. i wont do that again. see how you go but i always use extractors now. you can get good 120mm AC or DC fans from jaycar that work well and only 50 bucks or so.

Agree on that, I got thermally controlled fans in my inverter box, work very well, I use pc fans 6€ each (120mm). Job is well done, good job.

Exactly what I will need “extra Ventilation” we have same problems and the inverter / charger derates itself as it gets hotter, it does drop out on hi temp, I’ve introduced more fan cooling, here’s a tip aswell, there is a temperature sensor called Ruuvi that you can add to the Cebro and displays on the VRM which you can switch relay on/off maybe a larger fan.

Greetings from Texas. Nice video. Victron makes the best products. I use their DC to DC Charger for my truck. Did I see an AC system and is the solar and battery system enough to run the AC system in summer without the generator? Love the little house too!

Nice setup. I see your past installs were SMA Sunny Boy & Sunny Island mostly. Is that still the case for most of your current installs or you have now moved to Victron for good? Is Victron better than SMA?

Good point, neither will be working too hard and the enclosure is/will be completely shaded from a patio. Additionally there vents behind the enclosure.

@@joondalupelectricalservice3201It is a very nice install, I’m not convinced there is enough ventilation for these devices though, I believe u should have at least 2 fans that are temp sensitive and slightly staged to help maintain temp control, I have heard that when charging from mains/generator via Multiplus II, that they can create a lot of heat, one guy in Europe had to reconfigure some internal fan ducting on his unit as it was getting externally very hot to touch, he said after he did this it maintained a much lower/acceptable temp, Im not sure if his was a 3kw or a 5kw Multiplus II.
