I Just pooped after 5 days post surgery. My surgery was performed by Loma Linda Veterans Hospital in California. They took there time and I should have full function and full recovery. My life was saved! They suspect I had 5-10 years it live! I feel great today, Thank you Mark for your videos. My outcome was the same however my surgery was 7.5 hrs due to my particular case and they saved all the nerves. I am most grateful for my second chance. Ray Hageman CPL U.S.M.C
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July 2020. I choose not to have the robotic procedure. My prostate was removed in Oct 2020, with no complications in regards to the surgery. I am 59 yrs old...its been 10 months since I had the surgery, and I am at 100% again, to include I am able to get erections!! 👊 I have been tested every (3) months, for which I show a zero with no traces of cancer! As I always say - expect the worse & hope for the best! In this case I prevailed 🏆...

VERY informative, Mark. Great level of detail. I'm headed for daVinci robotic radical prostatectomy Feb. 1. My wife and I will be watching all of. Your videos so we can both learn at the same time. Knowledge is the first step on the road to recovery. Well done, sir. Thank you!
I’m so glad your recovery from this surgery has been so successful. Watching all of your videos before my surgery on 6 January, 2020 gave me encouragement, My surgery was done by the gifted Dr. Goel, at Windsor’s (Ontario, Canada) Metropolitan Hospital, and my progress so far has been so much better than I ever expected. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Mark, I just had my surgery 2 days ago and now home recovering. Your help me prepare so much before the surgery thank you again for the videos.

Hi mark. I am from England and I am having my operation in the morning.watched all your videos more than once.still nervous but helping so much.thank you for sharing.top bloke.
Probably due to the period of no fluids prior to surgery, both elbows, arms, and hands are bruised and turned to hamburger from getting the ports in prior to surgery.
Thank You Mark - My surgery is scheduled for 4/5/19 and your video has helped reassure me that it is going to be OK. wishing you a speedy and complete recover
Michael S Thank you. Why don't you come and join our Facebook group? There is a small group of us giving advice to others on the surgery. facebook.com/groups/104156783410077/
Ok..when you wake up I felt alot of abdominal pain and cramps..like gas or food poisoning type of pain...and the reason they want you to get up and walk is so you can pass gas and feel better...its going to take a while but you start to feel better after 10 hours...and you will go home within 24 hrs of surgery
Thank you for sharing this with us, I am a prostate cancer patient ( stage one) after the biopsy result , my urologist requested me to do a MIR test to determine the size, right now I am experiencing ED and lot of pain during ejaculation, what is your thought on that, please advise
I appreciate this information Mark. I'm trying to wrap my head around all this now, preparing for this procedure. I'm totally freaked out over it, especially the catheter and incontinence. Again, thanks much, it was helpful. It's nearly 2020, but I'm guessing the procedure is still the same.
If you have something don't wait because if the cancer is spreading in to the body and bones you are dead man walking . I don't do radiation going in tomorrow for removal .
Very much appreciated as well. I’m concerned about post surgery, bladder and bowel movement. What are the do’s and don’t s?... also how do you negotiate walking around with the urinating bags? Do you go outside?
I had my prostate removed November 11, 2020. Having the catheter was not much of an issue. I had a large bag I could set on the floor at night and a smaller bag I could strap to my leg during the day and wear under my clothes. I could go out in public and the bag wasn’t noticeable. I removed the catheter after one week. While sleeping I would wear Depends and during the day I would wear a shield under my underwear. After three months it’s not necessary to wear either. Regarding bowel movements you just don’t want to strain until you are healed, I never had a problem. My biopsy indicated all the cancer was removed and my first PSA was undetectable. I had a lot of apprehension before the surgery but it went a lot better than I imagined and I am very happy I made the decision to have the surgery rather than radiation.
I think he took a small area where the tumor was and ended up doing radiation if you see his last video . He will probably end up removing the whole prostate in the future and that will be a little complicated . I am going in tomorrow morning for the total removal of prostate . Wish me luck !
