As a driver watching what thousands of crazy people are doing on the roads around the world and the relevant police techniques employed. This looks to be one of the best car stopping devices as it limits the dangers for the police officer’s in pursuit. It also limits the dangers to the person that is being chased. Excellent product

Wow it only took them 20 years to finally start equiping police cars with SOME kind of device. I remember seeing programs in my childhood about various such inventions, yet police just kept chasing and pitting.
I can see how the surprise factor would be useful, too. Can you imagine thinking you're going to get rammed by the police and then suddenly your car just goes into a skid and grinds to a halt? That would be extremely disorienting.
That is why people who back the blue could help out in getting their local police one or more. I have even seen local businesses do this in towns I have lived in.

That webbing strap stuff is insanely strong... I'm endlessly impressed by the human mastery of materials and their application, despite the imminent destruction of the planet and all that jazz.
Materials technology can make or break a lot of otherwise great ideas. It's one thing to know how to build an airplane, but making materials that are strong enough and light enough to achieve it is the real killer.
The Grappler is a great idea! Will stop those 1 to 3 hour tours of the driver's favorite hood . Mostly stopping dangerous high speed persuits on city streets!
Another benefit not many people realise is it counteracts airless tires vs spike strip argument. With the development of airless tires for cars and trucks, spike strips become useless as they can just run over the spikes with effectively no damage. This could counteract that entire argument, plus all the other benefits it has.
I hope that stupid defund the police movement didn't affect the deployment of this equipment. Its so damn useful and practical that its literally a crime to discard this invention !
This is a brilliant system! So many potential uses for this, like drunk drivers or someone who's having a medical issue. You don't want to pit maneuver grandpa who's lost his mind from a bad prescription reaction.
Obviously this grappler would have to be mounted on a larger vehicle, like a police SUV, and would only be effective when used to grapple smaller vehicles.

Quick releasing bumper covers are one one thing but when you wrap the net around the tire and axel the quick release bumper will be of little help LMAO
