One of the most rewarding things about filmmaking is making the best out of the locations, equipment, props and talent that's available. I'd say you rose to the challenge and delivered one of the best music videos I've ever seen! The direction, production, cinematography, performances and narrative were all executed amazingly. There were some very well-priduced entries, but I can't imagine why this didn't win the contest.

Actually, we all really like their music. Thank you for the compliment in my cinematography. and yes, prize money is appealing, but the driving force was to make a good video for the sake of making a good video.

I think this one really resonated by providing an exceptional emotional tone...the male lead was very convincing and this video actually made me sad, so, it was a success, IMO! Good job

I loved the lip syncing, are you kidding? It makes it feel more real! Wonderful storyline and the filming was excellent quality. WONDERFUL. One of my personal favorites!

OMG! I heard this song FOREVER ago, and I freaking LOVED IT, but i couldn't remember what it was called or who sang it. And I've just now stumbled upon it, and I'm SOOOOO damn happy that I have, because I've been hoping to find it for ages. So glad I know who this band is now, because I can't wait to go listen to their other stuff

So much to unpack here. The scene where he's back at the rave, it's like . . . "who here took her from me". Then, "All the things you loved were never here", she was at the party without him. Did she have a secret life? It's just all so tragic.

The editing is really good. It has a really nice flow and it has a really good story. I like the filming and I like the girl singing. It has a feel of real music videos and it is timeless. It is obvious why the other girls don't like her though because she is pretty. Just enough goth, without being creepy. A++++++

There was a long discussion, but basically: I understand the 'other singer' issue. Ideally it is the leader of the band, but as it is a strong narrative element, casting someone to play the part we felt outweighed not having that aspect. Had it been a less cohesive plot then the singer scenes would not have been filmed.

Thank you for the kind words, sorry the lip syncing ruined it for you. However it's a gluing element, something to help bind the whole video into cohesiveness, I don't think of it as sex appeal, though to be fair, I understand where that comes from. but that was not the intention. Just by having the song 'sung' to the audience give a relevance to the related sequences in the story that just can't be achieved without breaking the 4th wall of a narrating character.

No.... *sigh*.... it's well made, beautiful and professional really, and I'm sure lots of work put into it, but the lip syncing... no... sorry... and it's just the sex appeal. TBM hardly has any sex appeal of any sort and there was a lot of it in this one. I would be a little upset if this won because TBM, to me, is one of the few bands out there that is void of that kind of vibe/mood/persona. I imagine TBM as nostalgic and childish in some ways. This didn't pertain to that very much.
