Sharing my editing setup and a look at my timeline in Davinci Resolve Studio 17, graded using my Kodachrome inspired LUT pack:

If you’re thinking about a multiple monitor setup, you might just want to take a pair of screens side-by-side and be done with it.
But it’s not the only way, depending on your specific needs, there might be a better solution: I personally chose to put my two Dell UP3216q one on top of the other because I can better see the video clean feed on the top monitor and I feel the edit sessions are easier on my back and neck.

A refreshing look into two monitor setups for video editing, thank you. A couple of questions if I may, as I'm looking into monitor upgrades for myself at work - given that you have 4k/UHD monitors, do you use scaling to be able to view text/the UI clearly at UHD resolution? And may I ask how old you are, as I'm now just over 40 and wear glasses most of the time, so trying to judge age vs. display size/resolution as well as all other variables! :)

Hello, I don`t use scaling, at this size of 32" at at around 80-100cm from me it`s the perfect size/distance I would say. I'm gonna stick to 32" for now and upgrade to better models in the future at this size. I never did have problems reading small text, I`m 37 now and have been using glasses for about 5 years and it`s just that my eyes get tired after staring at a fixed point. Comes with the territory I guess when you`re editing 😀

Nice. For productivity, I also use stacked monitors. The main display is 27 inches and I actually lowered it down to eye level as I'm sitting, the second display is my laptop display (14 inch).

Hey i have 2 displays one is 1366*768 32 inch old samsung tv with bad colors and one LG 24 inch 1080p 99% sRGB and rec. 709 how should i use both for video editing i mean i will use the bad 32 inch tv for my timeline and effects nd all and my 24 inch color accurate for full screen preview but i only have default stand with both so 32 inch at close looks so much bigger for me so any ideas how to setup ?

Without any monitor arms to secure them one on top of another maybe a side-by-side setup is for you BUT keep in mind that color accuracy is super important for both your projects and your eyes so maybe just keep the 24" monitor and do all your work on that until you can get a second display that is better. A few years back I tried a TV as a 2nd display, I used to keep it in vertical mode for the effects panel but I had to let it go, even though it was large the quality wasn`t good... I don`t recommend sacrificing your eye sight just to have a dual monitor setup. Keep the good display only and focus on creating great content ;)

I looked for a Dell Ultrawide for a long time but they’re not cheap and since the color accuracy on the 3216q is so good I decided to stick to the same monitor. So far couldn’t be happier 😁😊

Just use Any vertical two monitor Mount, you can Find plenty on Amazon. It’s not special and that’s just the point, If you place the bottom monitor on the desk it takes some weight off the monitor arm ✌️

I know what you mean, the bottom monitor is actually standing on the desk itself so it supports the One on top too, the arm isn’t doing all the hard work 😉
