Video Editor Reacts to PSY + SUGA 'That That' *WHAT IS THIS?!* 

Yoongi getting conned into dancing when all he wanted was to produce since 2011.

This collab was SO GOOD. Suga approached Psy with the beat and wanted to produce for him and Psy gradually swindled him into featuring, performing, and being in the MV. Psy is a genius lol.

This kind of Kpop is what originally drew me to the genre, it's fun and joyful music. While the vast majority of musicians in the West are doing heavy and dark themes, Psy throws this bop and it reminds us that life can be fun.

but can we also appreciate how this man is 45 years old and still dances like a 25 year old AND is in great synchronization

The birds "photo bombed" the shoot at the best time. Suga and Psy's reaction to seeing the birds in the behind the scenes shoot was the best☺️💜

One thing you may have missed: Psy in the blue suit represents his gangnam style era, who Suga kills to make room for the new Psy

Appreciate all the commentary from a video editor on this MV. Not only the song is a bop masterpiece, the music video is top notch. Hope this song do really well on the charts.

Fun fact: the birds in the back at 6:22 were unplanned, if you look at the behind the scenes video they had only noticed the birds after shooting that scene.

Psy and Suga and their team did such a great job on this. It's catchy, fun, great visuals, super cute but also sexy? Such a fun collab, it makes me smile 💜

The moment I saw the choreo in this video I immediately thought of Jordan’s Dance Therapy. Kudos to Psy for wearing purple at the end. I’m sure that the BTS Army appreciated that little touch. The car in the video is the same as the one the Suga’s in, in Agust D’s “Daechwita” - I wonder what the symbolism around the car was for both Suga and Psy? Since Lumpens directed this video, I’m sure that it was no coincidence. It also felt like the song is the perfect continuation of Permission to Dance, which also had a Western motif, and took the concept from a post pandemic “mixer” to a full-blown post pandemic party. I love how Psy breathed in the fresh air at the start of the video. Despite the disparate story arcs it feels like Daechwita, Dynamite (the hand pistol “pah” that both Jimin and Psy did), Permission to Dance and That That told a really cohesive story of perhaps what the director was experiencing during the pandemic.

I honestly like how Psy doesn’t rely on much editing, he just keeps you guessing with his sets and antics

I LOVE Psy's whole attitude and performance style! I mean I could say that it was because he used to be in yg ent. but I think it's just him and his whole style. for a lot of people, psy was the first kpop song they technically heard (OPPA GANGNAM STYLE) WITHOUT THIS MAN KPOP MIGHT HAVE NOT BROKEN INTO THE WEST UNTIL LIKE... The fun thing was that the birds weren’t even planned they took a couple shots for that part and when PSY and the crew noticed the birds once the recording was done they kept that shot in 😭they were laughing and shocked

The bird scene was actually a coincidence. They were shooting this scene and the flock was just randomly flying behind them and they thought that it was cool so they went that cut.

For the bird scene shot, it was actually by coincidence. In a Behind the Scenes vid of the MV, when they were filming that scene, a flock of birds just happened to pass by. Psy loved it so much that he wanted to keep it in the vid.

Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop. Secondly I love how he worked along with yoongi and got him not only produce but also to be in the MV but to also dance aswell. Yoongi id my all time fav rapper in the entire music industry and someone I can truly relate too. Thirdly I am in love with the cowboy concept and vibe of the MV and I have always loved the wild west vibe. The whole choreo is just like Psy (if you seen his earlier qork you will k ow what I mean) the beat is upbeat and just makes me want to get up and dance along and another thing "that that" chorus is just so catchy as it has been stuck In my head since I first heard it in the teasers. Also I was just smiling and laughing thruout the entire MV. Also it might just be me but Yoongi kinda looked like Tae and jin in this MV too. Also yoongi mentioned in a vlive he did that the car in this mv was the same model as the car in Daewitchita MV.
