Dude was actually fuckin hilarious, haven’t heard his stuff in years, thanks for the reminder! Gonna keep recommending Ali Siddiq, y’all gotta check him out, fam… dude is a masterful storyteller, tells tales of being in prison and dealing, shit is raw. Much love, stay up!
@@MunfuBitty Thanks for this Guys. To explain that "Gary Glitter" joke. He was a singer who had a long jail sentence for being a pedophile and in our schools before any exam, the examiner says "Turn ( your page ) Over....You have an hour (to complete the exam)...
@@MunfuBitty Another good comedian similar to Jimmy Carr is Frankie Boyle. He has a thick accent, so you'll need to listen very closely. I love Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle. Absolutely hilarious.
Canadian guy here... I spent about 2 years living in England, and their television is much better than Canada/USA television. They are not as uptight, worried about being too politically correct, and all the other bullshit that goes with it. It's just flat out better entertainment (talk shows, sitcoms, game shows, etc).
It's safe to say, Jimmy is one of those guys. He isn't here to give a damn about your feelings. He's here to push the boundaries of what's funny as sooooo many comics USED to do. He's a special kind of person that stands on business and consistently makes people uncomfortable because they're laughing at something that makes them uncomfortable. What he does isn't easy and in my opinion he should be protected at all costs. I love that you're trying so hard to not laugh even though you know it's f-ing funny. Great.
For the longest time, and even to this day, dark, edgy, and sarcastic humour are some of our main jokes. Kind of a holdover from the war (both of them) when everything was terrible and joking about it made things better
Jimmy is a legend, he'll take you to places you didn't think you'd be able to go.......he also stays around when the shows finished to chat and mingle with the audience, he really appreciates that without the audience he'd be nothing. 👍🏻
"I was joking about fat people and a rather large women came up to me after the show and said ' You're Fatist' and I replied, no, I think you're fatist.'" ` Jimmy Carr
Y'all's simultaneous reactions when Jimmy said "I suppose that begs the question - how many fillings did he give me?" just about killed me. Thank you for making the last hour of my job better!
When I went to see Jimmy Carr live, my son was in hospital and it was the first time in a week I wasn't by his bedside. I needed that break to laugh and release all that stress. Jimmy is doing good work.
Watching you both trying to hold it in for the first minute as you assessed his inapropriateness, and knowing full well that you'd soon be cracking up was worth every second and every minute after. 😂Thanks, subbed.
Man will either be remembered as one of the best comedians ever, or that monster that was telling everyone what he was doing and getting them to laugh about it.
Still remember the 'my name sounds like if you tried to say Jamaica in a Jamaican accent'. The years we've had this guy - we owe the Brits a lot for still having him around.
He is a very intelligent guy from what I've seen of him outside of his comedy performances. On stage he is very risky and loves hecklers. I think there's a 3 part video series of him interacting with hecklers.
Jimmy Carr one of the hardiest working comedians out there. He take two weeks off a year and basically works the rest, and is currently touring the world with his latest show He's appeared in over 31 countries with his stand up tours
Jimmy is one of the hardest working comics in the U.K. (even after the tax stuff!) He mostly sticks to shock humour but he has always stayed behind at every gig I have been to (seen him 6-7 times) and said hi to the fans. Top guy.
They tried to go after Jimmy for a trans joke, but he basically shrugged and said something to the effect of, “Have you heard the rest of my material?” He did get salty when they tried to go after his friend Victoria Coren for defending him. She is an absolutely brilliant lady who also happens to be kind and funny. She basically said, “Jimmy is a lovely person. These are called jokes,” and they went after her. Carr pretty much said, “Nope, nope. Come after me, but leave my friends out of it.” In America it was a scenario that might have been career ending, but Carr just kind of rolled his eyes and moved on.
I believe he sees his role is to make you so uncomfortable you want to get up and leave but you're so shocked you need to hear what he's gonna say next 🤣
Jimmy Carr looking wholesome and sounding sophisticated really makes the dark humor land. He's the dark humor GOAT. Both Jimmy Carr and Patrice O'Neal did their own versions of "The Nasty Show" definitely recommended.
I am from Glasgow. We always love our comedy. Sad that a hate crime law comes into effect soon. The government will arrest comedians from April 1st. RIP COMEDY
So you know, he actually does stand down off the stage and shake hands and greet everyone who wants to come over after his shows. He sits there for hours talking with the crowd after each show.
My favorite Jimmy Carr joke is - "If only Africa had more mosquito nets, then every year...we could save MILLIONS.. of mosquitos from dying needlessly of AIDS."
Top tier British comedy from the early 2000's was Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle, especially in a show called 'Mock the Week, now that has some dark freaking jokes On it
