Video Game Difficulty ~ Rawk 

Another banger video! Personally, I really like a challenge in my games. Like, I really like playing Cuphead cause of the difficulty, and one of the reasons why I love the Mega Man Series is because it can be really difficult.

That Video was pretty high quality content ❤ The topic is not covered all that much by gaming youtubers and i liked that you have been honest about your own weird relationship to difficulty. Awesome. I don't enjoy games that are too easy and because of the ridiculous backlog of unplayed games in my library, i also usually don't bother to get into a game as much as needed to beat it on hard. But also, i need to flex for a second about that i 100%ed cuphead 😅

Yeah, difficulty is DEFINITELY about context. I'm a chronic easy mode user though, I just never know what to expect

I recently made a video like this, and I couldn't DISAGREE more. I think difficulty options can lead to less satisfaction, more confusion, and yes, lead to devs spending less time balancing. I also don't think it's helpful for less skillful players, since no one WANTS to play on easy, and would be more likely to quit than make it easier. So I think more natural ways of choosing difficulty, like ignoring side content, or choosing less rewarding easier options, allows skillful players to more easily make it harder, without arbitrarily going to the menu, along with less skilled players being able to just avoid hard parts and still being able to beat the game with 0 caveats, like "I did it, but I played on easy, with a cheat code, and modded more powerful weapons in". With all that said, nice video though, I enjoyed it.
