Thanks for the video Jacob. Enjoyed it. You are more switched on than the people I know who don’t have a mental illness. I have recently upped my dosage of seroquel XR and it has made me tired and get brain fog somewhat. Difficult at work sometimes as not everyone gets it. I am not ill enough not to work but work can be difficult sometimes.Currently work in insurance but really want to get paid work in a mental health job. I have been taking anti-psychotics for 26 years now. First got ill with schizoaffective disorder at 17. Trouble I have had is changing from old drugs to newer ones with advances in medicine but it is for the better in the long run. Stay cool Jacob, appreciate you 🙂
I am 16 and for about 2-3 months I’ve been having auditory internal/external hallucinations and Visual, along with commands. I had a big paranoia attack and went to the Psych Ward for a second time (I just got out) and I’m scared. I’m new to my issue and I’m really scared and I don’t know what to do. Anyone have any ideas?
Im schizo and i usually avoid videos about it. Im planning on writing a fictional book where the main character has it, and ive decided to see how others handle it and their experience.
I prefer to spend time with the ones I love but have gotten into games from my partner. I enjoy a game called Dead by daylight however there is one character who can be triggering for me seen as it causes you to hear voices, really enjoying red dead redemption 2 though.
Finally man, been waiting to hear u speak about the illness. It gives me peace to know some answers and that people with this arent alone. I just got a nee video game and its helped alot get away from reality.
Hey, we dm'ed a few years ago, It was on another account.. You were the first person I told my schizophrenic story to. I told you about the woman I hallucinated for years. Anne Marie was her name. You're listening ear helped me a lot. We exchanged stories and it went the world to me at that time. I want to thank you for it gave me courage to upload a few videos about my schizophrenia too. Great video man!! I also have schizophrenia and love video games it does help a lot i find, with getting my mind off my problems and dealing with my mental issues... Any kind of hobby can help i also love doing wood working projects and photography and just being creative.. Keep up the good work your doing great!!
My dad had schizophrenia, and he was the best guy I ever met ! No joke, he always did his best to stick with the meds and deal with the mental struggles. Thanks for putting up this video. It's awesome of you to tell it like it is and just be human... subscribed =)
You sounds so intelligent you could be a doctor talking to a patient about their issues. You can get through these issues more than you think. You're really smart.
In my game, I lost my doctor's license and was kicked out of town. I can't get past a level in Mario. I still do 'big brain academy' and 'brain age" on my 3DS. I gave my Wii to a poor family with kids. I got too old for it. Reading relaxes me, but I don't remember much, a little. Can you read?
Seroquel XR is slow release. Takes 6 hours to peak its sedation and then starts to go down. Im on 600mg. Its like the Heroin of Anti Psychotics fucking incredibly hard to stay awake after taking the 600mg dose. Just got back from Indonesia was a 5 and a half hour flight so I woke up at peak sedation and was called and checked by Boarder Force cos I looked baked. But all was good when they knew.
I lose my train of thought mid sentence and it really frustrates me. I keep thinking my brains shutting down or something but then again i tell myself that’s not rational thinking
When i play video games my voices cosplay twitch chat backseatgaming, pointing out potential mistakes with 20/20 hindsight, i think it's my mind knowing the possible alternative plays but formulating it in a vile way because my voices are more evil than good
Can you be honest and tell us how your girlfriend feels about it because that's what my son does and I tell him..."its gonna be hard to find a girl that just wants to play video games" ...can I get some help here thanks...xoxo

Its rough to find a gf with schizophrenia. Problem is that negative symptom of schizophrenia make me lay in bed all day. Very sad. Most schizophrenic dont have much or a life
Legit Seems no, it was all of a sudden after I experienced trauma with my ex boyfriend and I never really had/have hallucinations, but even though I don’t have hallucinations it’s still not easy. I can get paranoid and in negative thinking very easily. I hope you’re better now
You have spiritual abilities to see the others in other dimension. You should master that. What if your reality is the real one and ours is filtered. What do you think about that. I'm game programmer. I like physics and algorithms. You should check out the observer effect of quantum physics. It's very interesting.
Video games have always helped me with depression. To be honest they have probably helped the most out of anything. It keeps me occupied and not to toot my own horn but im a fucking badass at most games lol So it always feel good to win online or beat a game!
