Ironically, it makes MORE sense for Tetris to be a board game than any of the others. It was originally made as an electronic adaptation of a physical puzzle game.

I've always liked the idea that this isn't simply a continuation of the main plot for Board James, but an alternate timeline/universe of Board James where he turns into the Nerd rather than continue the decent into the later episodes. Not necessarily a prequel to the Nerd we know now, but rather a completely different Nerd's backstory. I guess what I mean is that I think of this episode as a non-canon alternate ending to Board James. Granted, James has said that they're split personalities, but he also seems really open to letting us come to our own conclusions about things and encourages us to think about what happened ourselves.

This is a pretty crazy twist. I hope it's not the end though, because Board James has so much potential to be so many different things. I sort of preferred the idea of supernatural elements or monsters being involved, but the series constantly keeping you in suspense as to whether he is actually insane or not.

Now the Nerd needs to play video games of board games.

The tetris one is funny. Tetris was based on a board game then turned back into one.

This was years ago…and I got chills. It’s awesome to see taht it really IS canon that Board James is truly the prequel to AVGN, after people had speculated this would happen. I love it! They are now one-&-the same! Amazing!

"Everything you do on one side, counteracts the other" I think what this might mean is that the Nerd was pushing James to become a bit darker. I don't think he meant to make him evil again. I think the Nerd was trying to balance each other out, but went a bit too far towards the other direction. After all, this was the episode before James starts killing his friends.

i just noticed that Board James and the Nerd are lighted differently, it looks like the Nerd was filmed with a darker gel or yellowish lights. its a subtle touch but it works

5:19 I just envisioned that whole ending with the Super Mario characters, and I don’t regret it.

One of the greatest twists I've ever seen. This is brilliant. However, it looks like this is the end of Board James. Perhaps not, but if this is the final episode of the series, it's a hell of away to end a great series.

AVGN: The Prequel!

My appreciation for this series has done nothing but grow over the years. I actually get emotional watching it and having just read James's Autobiography escalates the emotions. Enjoying continuing to dissect the story and look for more easter eggs. I hope Board James comes back some day. Oh, and I think this is the best acting I've seen James pull off, he is genuinely unsettling / unnerving in the final season.

When i was younger Board James was actually so cool to me, it was legitimately great cinema. So I've re-watched the whole series like a thousand times and its still so good. i remember being shocked when watching the ending and then going back to re watch it again with all the knowledge i got from finishing it.
