@@greetingsfromsunnysiberia yeah I’m sure they were real scared of nato attacking a nuclear armed nation. My god you are naive. No one was interested in attacking Russia fool - it literally makes no sense at all. Just lies fed to you by putins propaganda department and you’re too foolish to figure it out.

I red a book about The Winter War between Finland and The Soviet Union in 1939. There was a description of an incident that stuck with me for some reason: Finnish soldiers had captured some russian soldiers and was checking their pockets and packs for weapons and usable items. On one of the soldiers they found a pair of woman’s shoes. The finns laughed and asked the soldier why he was carrying these shoes with him. The russian told them he had been out shopping shoes for his wife (a task which probably consisted of standing many hours in line). On the way back home he had been picked up by recruiters and pressed into army service. Within days he found himself at the frontline. It seems little has changed in russian mentality and their disregard for the individual is hard to comprehend for westeners. Churchill said «Russia is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma» but he also said «Russia is never as strong as she looks; Russia is never as weak as she looks.» It will be an interesting winter to put it mildly.
This is nothing new for Russians. They are like It in so called normal life. Even on holiday if you meet Russian men they never feel whole unless they can take advantage of someone else. It's in there nature. Big headed and thick.
I've read of in WW2, Russian troops in Germany using toilets to wash potatoes in and baths as toilets as they didn't have them back home, didn't know what they were for.
It’s not a mistake. They are using the 300k recruitment for the Suicide mission to tire out Ukraine army so they can send the train Russian to finish the job. The governments don’t care about there people
Let Putin make a mistake with his own life. These poor young Russian men should be the pawns to be sacrificed as a mistake. Even the Ukrainians feel sorry for their brothers.
These men are being sent off to be literal cannon fodder and being told to borrow a box of tampons to treat their own bullet wounds. Tampons work to slow bleeding but this isn't first aid with your handbag, this is supposed to be an army headed to n active war zone. That is horrific. Everything about this war is horrific.
A US field medic who used tampons in the field for this purpose, patented a product based on what he learned using tampons to inject wrapped cotton swabs into bullet wounds to stop the bleeding. He now has an active contract with the US military and his devises are used on every western battlefield since Bush Jr. It is still a horrible situation but that was a bad example of why.

It's exactly as people said it would be, they don't have time to train people, so they're sending in cannon fodder till they train the others. Absolutely deplorable.
I always knew this. How does anyone not know that the story never changes. Only After death & destruction has finally consumed everything & the narcissistic aggressor lose anything - do they suddenly gain insight. No lesson learned before they commit the atrocities at full blast, killing hurting and destroying every innocent life and only AFTER THEY lose anything. The writers for Braveheart and Lord of the Rings have been totally upstaged. I couldn’t imagine a better speech. Maybe I could imagine it if I took the right pills.
Russian army is telling conscripts to bring their own helmets, plate carriers with plates, boots, bandages and Tampons to be used to stop the bleeding in case of a bullet wounds etc.. when their more experienced troops can’t even hold the line.
I checked up about the tampon usage - apparently it works but after a while expands so much and just ends up making the bullet hole larger. Hopefully these new recruits will drop their arms and surrender, or march back to Russia and confront Putin.
As an infantry soldier of 9 years, I have to feel pity for these guys. Our selection training, let alone our 18 week basic training, was far more than these chaps are going to get and they will suffer such losses when they go to the line. Poor bastards.........

Good. Because they refused to get out and protest. If 5-10 million russians did it this war wouldve been over. Maybe they will protest once they really feel what a war means and 300.000 body bags more return to russia. Every single russian involved in this war, in the army, supporting their army or government is a nazi guilty of genocide because they deny a country/nation of its existence. Maybe this is what it will take to end this war. 300k-1 mil dead russian soldiers, for millions of russians to finally wake up from their sleep snd to kill their leaders. Either this or they like them
@@zxcbebra-vz9fn they are at the point now they are sending anyone with a pulse! Pretty much "everyone" in Russia has "served" previously as there is a mandatory 12-month draft, which is mandatory for all male citizens ages 18-27! Remember this service doesn't mean they have been well trained or even touched a gun many serve that short time as chefs ....secretarial work ..admin ..in factories ect !
I have an ex-stepson who did the year military service in Russian airborne a couple years ago. No idea about his training, but he was paid something like $30/month, and much of that was siphoned off for his unit's shared or "community" costs (not sure what that was). So, I sent him some money every month. He spent it on going to the surrounding town when on leave and eating fresh fruit. To him, a real orange was such a treat that he'd spend the extra money I sent him to eat it.
The longer service conscripts use the fresh recruits as cash cows. Your stepson was basically robbed by his superiors. Then beaten . Russian army takes pointless hazing to the next level. They think it hardens the recruits, instead it drives them to the hospital or suicide.
In "The Gulag Archipelago," Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn tells the story of a train that leaves Moscow with enough leather to make 10,000 pairs of boots that are to be made by prisoners in the gulags of Far Eastern USSR. The leather travels along the Trans-Siberian Railway, the longest continuous rail line in the world. However, at each stop the cargo is inspected and the manifest is signed off attesting to leather to make 10,000 pairs of boots. But, each apparatchik must have his "beak" sweetened, so a bit of leather is "confiscated." By the time the train reaches the gulag, the manifest says 10,000, but there is only enough leather in the rail cars for 7,500 pairs of boots. The inmates make 7,500 pairs, but only 5,000 get loaded into the rail cars by the time the railroad people and the prison commandants get their "beaks sweetened." At each return stop the cargo is inspected and the apparatchiks "beaks" are sweetened. When the train returns to Moscow, the manifest says that 10,000 pairs of boots are on board and accounted for in the manifest. But only 2,500 pairs of boots are in the rail cars. Since no one wants to be blamed for stealing 7,500 pairs of boots, the manifest is stamped "All accounted for" as 2,500 pairs of boots are put into the warehouse. That is how you "lose" 100,000 military uniforms in Russia.
“You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.”
Soldiering is coordinated violence. Yet the Russian soldiers are badly led. The Russian soldiers are violent, but not in a coordinated way. That's one reason they're losing.

Russia must be careful, they have made this mistake before in WWI. Peasant farmers were handed a uniform and just over half were actually given a rifle and almost no equipment. They were butchered by the Germans, had to cede an area 5x the size of Germany to their enemy, and the people at home revolted after the way they were treated.

Reminds me of what my father said about going over to France in the very early days of WW2 when Britain was totally unprepared for war . The first time they had any gun training was on the 2hr trip from England to France . Four months later he just survived the retreat at Dunkirk , many of course did not .
The difference being that the need to try to stop the Nazi's was a neccesity. These Russians are like if the Germans at the time had taken civilians to the front line and made them have a go at it. So, Russia today = Nazi Germany from 1939
In my country when someone comes to rob you it's customary to say something like: Give me your money *or* I'm going to hurt you. Does it really surprise you? Russia has a history of mistreating it's own. Anti-semitism is also notorious there and when that's steeped into a country and culture you have a recipe for a country that's going to eat itself up.
When you're running out of soldiers, you've basically lost. There are all sorts of things that lead to losing a war, but not having enough soldiers will always do the trick. When a battle hardened, well equipped, well trained, strongly motivated army fights an army that's running out of soldiers, that's a turkey shoot. They stand no chance.
@@max16411 Oh, that's coming. The fact that Putin needs to call up all reservists, people that have no desire to fight a war, means he's running low on qualified manpower. Something tells me these are just being used to exhaust Ukraine's supplies, while the mercenaries are called for real combat. Putin seems to have been recruiting from the ethnic minorities and rural areas, so like the mobilization could be used as an ethnic and ideological cleansing of within, with even protestors being sent to mobilization. Using war to wear people down

almost the worst part is the dumb luck and chaos involved. once the recruiters catch you its 50/50 if you are sent to the office, beaten and put in jail for disobeying or sent home. and apparently in some areas the officers have decided to send unfit people back home while others are sending everyone on the battlefield. i mean if the constriction was equal no matter what the policy id think the men sent to fight and die would be more unionized and willing. and ofc this means that some men die and survive based on simple luck, if they lived in the next town or even next zip code theyd survive or get sent to hell. perhaps the deciding factor might even be that youre at the recruitment grounds on monday morning with the monday morning officer instead of the wednesday evening officer. or any other factor. its like getting kidnapped by some criminals and you try to survive by any means but any variable can mean anything
people vastly underestimate how important it is to zero a weapon. You can be an incredible marksman, but if you are shooting a weapon you have not zero'd you will never hit anything past 50 meters. This lack of training happened even in February, there was a POW very early that said before entering Ukraine, he had never fired a weapon.
These men could have picked up these guns and stood for their lives and lives of their families in Russia instead these men are going to Ukraine to kill civilians and soldiers to invade the country. First of all, the truly brave ones are the UKRAINIANS. It is estimated that 70-75%% of Russians support Putin and the atrocities/war crimes of his barbaric and kleptocratic regime. Of the 20-25% remaining (comprising millions of people) just a few THOUSAND protesters came out (not hundreds of thousands, not millions .... just a few thousand) ..... so what, maybe less than 1% of Russians? The remaining 24% of the "silent opposition" are doing what they do best and have been doing for decades, staying silent, too afraid to fight for their rights (unlike the Ukrainians)...... and most don't care about rights unless it affects them directly. So now that it directly affects the “silent opposition” what do they do??? …… what they have done best so far ….. flee instead of fight for their rights ….. cowards. The majority of Russians running scared didn't give a crap about the atrocities in Ukraine .... until now .... they should NOT be allowed in to Europe .... stay in your Russia and learn to fight for your rights you cowards! The Ukrainians did it and are doing it, what is your excuse??? Full respect to those about 1% of Russians who actually have courage and stay and protest. If all the hundreds of thousands of Russian cowards running for the borders had instead gone to protest in Moscow they might have already been well on their way to toppling the Putin regime.

If Russia thinks matters are bad for their troops in East Ukraine, matters are about to get much worse. In less than four weeks, East Ukraine begins to get much colder. East Ukraine high temperatures during the winter can hover at -6 C and can drop to -60 C. Since Russia destroyed most of the infrastructures in their occupied lands, there will be very little shelter adding to their misery of not having adequate cold weather gear. I might be the only one that thinks it, but I say that everyone is kind of missing the point about the tampons thing. I've been told in several training scenarios that tampons are great for stopping bleeding from things like bloody/broken noses or gunshot wounds. I think that the main point of concern is that they're resorting to "ask all your female aquaintances to send you tampons, because we don't have enough resources to treat your wounds otherwise."
They aren’t though, it’s a myth that persists because it sounds right - but isn’t. The gauze used to treat deep wounds like those from gun shots has a coagulation agent in it so blood will clot and stop flowing out, preventing bloodloss. It also won’t expand like a tampon does - you don’t want it to expand and rip the round open even more!
No, the video of the nurse talking is longer. She also says that the reason why they have to use tampons is because they don't have enough medical equipment on stock. She also said that they have to buy tourniquets by their own to stop blood circulation of big wounds on arms and legs. They've used up everything already for the first big wave.

When i was in the military in the mid 70s, after basic training and certain tech schools i was in my mind prepared for anything. We had all that you would need to operate efficiently in combat scenarios. After ending up in a special ops unit we trained all the time if not deployed missionwise. I cannot imagine any trooper in any military unit placed in a combat theatre with just mere basic training in todays world. So no training what-soever is simply "forced" suicide. When those 300,000 troops are chewed up in short order the Russian people will have a decision to make if not before but putin must be removed from power and those olagarchs that prop him up need to be handed a rifle and sent to the line or at least have what they have stolen returned to the citizens.
