Why did leadfoot decide to literally have a target on his chest??? Worst.tactic.ever!!!

I'm proud of myself because I finished transforming my ROTF Leader Prime from robot to truck mode before the video ended. Too bad this is a disappointment, but I agree with his alt mode looking bad-ass. I'm not getting any of the DOTM HA figures. Haven't seen another HU fig get anywhere near as awesome as Jazz. Well, Barricade is really cool too.

I want to like this figure, but it has the Target logo on it. I work there, and seeing my job's logo on anything makes it less fun.

the human alliance sets looms fucking amazing! they look accurate in robot mode AND vehicle mode, and im just sitting here with my dark of the moon bumblebee, that has his arms revealed when you open the doors

Lol, "Human Alliance" ironically Lead-foot was killed by Humans in AoE. If they start making an AoE Human Alliance toy line I'm gonna start pulling my hair.

18:07 You probably noticed already, but the top of Leadfoot's arm has a hole to peg the weapon in.

Oh, one more thing! I don't know if you meant to mention this in a follow-up video, but you can attack Steeljack to the back of LF's arm via that post on SJ into the hole on LF's forearm so he's got a G1 Meg'-esque cannon. SJ's legs also condense like G1Steeljaw's cassete mode and you're left with a tiny bit more condensed figure (the front legs slip under the hind legs, and the hind paws fit over the front at the hinge) so that might help the overall look as a wrist or shoulder weapon.

Heya OB- I listerally pulled my Leadfoot out of the package & transformed it while you did yours on camera & I appreciate the help. The instructions were of dubious help first time I used them & your alternate mode does look better. One thing I did different was rotate the chest wheels back to the sides of the figure & flipped up the Impala grill. LF's wearing most of his front on his chest, but so did Prowl/Sideswipe/etc & it doesn't look like he's got 'Git in ma belly!' syndrome as bad

as far as the gun handle is conserned, it looks like there is a peg hole on the outsides of both hands, that would allow you to peg the gun in there.

Leadfoot ended up being one of my favorite DOTM toys so far. You're absolutely right that his official robot mode is ghastly and derptacular. However, his sheer complexity saves him. After a full day of fiddling, I'd gotten him into a mode that's screen-accurate, stable, looks fantastic and has no articulation issues. So, from crap springs a diamond. Don't give up on him yet! Also, you can ball Steeljaw up and make him a medieval mace with that chain of his. Very recommended.

Hi, Optibotimus! I just (finally) decided to order this guy (found him pretty cheap). Your alternate version pushed me over the edge. I saw someone on RU-vid named gau821 with his own alternate version. I want to see what I can find for myself to make him look good. Got the reprolabels coming up too! TF's are puzzles, so I think he won't disappoint in that department.

Hi optibotimus I watched your review and went to buy a leadfoot. But when I opened it i found that his arms and the upper part of his car (his backpack in bot mode) are completely detached from the other part of his body. Do you know how is this part attached at all or did I get a defected copy? Thanks.

Juts got this guy yesterday :) Love him, just wish his chest and stomach could be put in a better way to look more natural. I agree completely with how they should have made him weaponized, because it would have been an easier transformation with a better robot mode, like how Roadbuster got. And also, I chuckled when you mentioned the useless bending backpack, because I wondered the same thing when I first transformed him lmfao

Thought this figure looks sweet in car mode, and he was awesome in the movie. Just saw it on clearance at Target for $13! Picking it up tomorrow!!!

Great review botimus :DD About the dog, it seems that there´s a Mech Tech port in his arms, to make it look like kind of a crossbow.

It would've been nice to fit Steeljaw in the rear part that you pointed out was empty.

Im Pretty Sure youve Found Out/Heard by Now(but justincase....)...that Steeljaw Does Indeed fit in that little Hollow-space...its pretty much Leadfoot's Weapon Storage....

Is it normal for the top part of the car like the bonnet, roof, trunk and arms of leadfoot to come off from the body???

in the outer parts on the lower arms sits a mech tech port each arm has one

To make him look a little more CGI accurate, I keep the waist facing the other way, fold the legs up so the knees are facing the backpack, fold the shins down and turn the feet around at the swivle. It gives him that small, short leg look in the movie.

Strength is 4 yet you can clearly see him in DOTM ripping that protoform in half lol :D great review, I even enjoyed the advert at the begginning :D

@optibotimus I'm curious...are those mechtech ports on his wrist area on the forearm? If so, could you do like a wrist mounted cannon thing with steeljaw and have him hold it that way?

well the add for the lego is nice but from a mocers point i think it would nice but id say either to use for mocing or just for collecting lego is the way to go

I wonder if they are legally able to sell the target exclusive version at General retail? Will they get sued by target for it? Also, was this ever available in the uk or not?

@DarkNep I agree Hasbro should've stuck with one mode for all. IMO best would be to have it look like Roadbuster with some pop-out weapons and then have it include guns that you can plug in like you have on Topspin.

After trying different alternations, i have to say the version i created now makes him a nice movie acurate figure. you can face the wheels more downwards, which gives him more the big belly as he has in the movie. Now i do like this figure! :)

Since they are all wreckers I was thinking of displaying leadfoot and roadbuster with first edition bulkhead I don't have any of those figures are they about they same size?
