Really hope hasbro makes an overload and jetfire to go with it, a modern interpretation of the minicon combiner team for the star saber would be icing on the cake
Getting my copy on September to fulfill my childhood desire of having a Armada Optimus Prime. I never got the original Leader class when Armada aired years ago. But I finally getting the chance now!
This is a damn nice figure. I hope they give this sort of update love to RID Optimus Prime, I have the original and it's a cool toy, but I would love an update.
This almost looks really good. Few thinks like the super mode hands that throw it off. Will buy if I see it in stores. Haven't bought a hasbro figure in years.
He hits hard for me as I think he was my first transformers ever that I got as kid and I’m so happy I got him in my collection so many memories tied to him 🤩
I got my copy of this toy yesterday and its fantastic. You really need to get a hold of an old Armada Overload. They are 100% compatible with each other. Overload connects to the big horizontal red slot on the back of super mode prime, and the butt plate behind the thighs can brace off the back of the knees to hold it stable with the double backpack. It is the greatest thing.
A few TFW users have also tired to tackle the gappy crotch of the smaller robot mode. Best I can do is to smash them together and hold for a bit, and they stick after that. Haven’t figured out if there’s warpage, a specific alignment of the gray folding joints above the crotch, or some sort of mold flash somewhere that’s preventing full closure. Also, someone needs to try a heat gun or warm bath… Also baffling why the trailer hitch/buttflap is not a 5mm plug like everything else
We only need now is a legit remake for Energon Universe Optimus Prime and a proper Cybertron Universe too. But how will they pull off the Prime Force sets?
Fair Warning: The Silver and Gold paint can easily be chipped away, that’s what happened to my copy’s Mouthplate and both robot and super mode and the yellow part of the super mode legs
I wish they had made Megatron as the Cmdr Class as well. In the show reg OP was quite a bit smaller than Megs, and the Super Mode is where they were almost equal in size. Too bad that they only made Megs Leader and left him so much smaller compared to the Super Mode.
In the show the regular optimus was only a little shorter than Megatron whereas his supermode completely towered over megatron. Hence why they removed his supermode from the unicron battles cuz prime being bigger than megatron is just goofy imo
I got mine last week and the hinge the moves the right arm down was put in backwards. I have not heard of anyone else having this problem. My replacement figure comes tomorrow.
