@@OldEnemy1 well, a ps1 could play literally any music under the sun with no compression if you needed it to. The games came on cds, and what else do you use cds for? Listening to uncompressed music. FFVII had simple midi music because larger music files would have caused the game to require long loading screens. Other games such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night had full orchestral songs playing in the background.

The boss theme had such furious energy to it. It always got me fired up for a fight when I first played the game. It's just as legendary as the main battle theme.

One of the first pieces of boss music I ever clearly remember growing up. Hypes up any fight. Made the fight against Rufus feel cinematic. And it sounds amazing in the remake!

Half the time you’d take a moment to marvel at the more dynamic zoom-ins and closeups between animations because you’d never seen anything like this in your life. What a groundbreaker this game was, and it helped put the PlayStation on the map, too!
