Why blame him? There were advisories issued over 24 hours in advance by government. People who didn’t pay attention assumed the risk by leaving their homes or not otherwise acting appropriately under the circumstances.

He doesn’t control the rain though. & While he did declare a state of emergency, that is ultimately used as a mechanism to tap into federal dollars in the aftermath of the storm. Governor is trying to get FEMA to offer assistance and the SBA offers financial assistance to certain businesses when state of emergency is issued. Mind you, no home was “destroyed” by the rain and no lives were lost. State of emergency is likely being utilized to achieve other ends.. Financial ends at the tax payer expense. That’s the big picture and that’s what’s happening.
