Here’s an idea: Riot should make a new skin-line that gives us an idea of what Viego, Kalista and Hecarim looked like before their tragedy on the shadow-isles.
It wouldn't work. Mordekaiser rules over the dead. Viego rules over the undead. They are two separate kings who rule over two separate types of entities. In fact, both of their lore are pretty close to each other, and ultimately, they seem to be pretty close to power in each other.
@@madmouse1016 don't blame it on Seraphine Atleast she can take the criticism it's the developers because they put her in The game and did not Connect to the lore and I love seraphine I respect her even LOL have toxic People nice
They stopped giving item interactions after Irelia's rework, which is unfair because she get's to interact with her Trinity Force but Viego can't with his blade.
If Vlad is Viego's uncle, this means Kalista is also related to Vlad. Since in Kalista's bio she is the King's niece and we know now from Viego's bio that he had an older brother who is likely Kalista's father and was supposed to be king but died.
Tbh the theory with Yorick maiden being just someone (something?) else is much more likely. Viego is crazy (like insane level of crazy) and like he himself said in the newest cinematic - She IS his world. It would create a lot of unanswered questions if it was her 2 parts for some reason
@@dawidkrolikiewicz6605 nah, I think he's on to something here, Isolde's soul *could be* in pieces and are scattered across Runeterra and should be _sewn_ together again if she's to become the champion Riot's been teasing.
@@Azrimohr Pretty weird from rito to tease the champion with sawing puns if they weren't related to this thing and that's what this theory suggests kinda... We will see soon. No cliffhangers they said
i mean, hes also "kinda" nice to fiddle, simply bc he knows he cant do anything to him. riot confirmed that demons are immune to the ruination, and fiddle is not even an ordinary demon, hes basically the devil. to everyone else, even kindred aka death itself, viego insulting and threatening. to fiddle hes basically like "yo bro, chill out. we aint enemies. when im done, u wont have a reason to stay around here any longer"
Are you sure that the whole "not surprised you betrayed me, thresh" is not about the fact that thresh had senna, and by extension Isolde, inside his lantern for a long time, without giving her to Viego?
We have to consider that in-game interactions are "what-ifs" scenarios. I believe that voiceline only happens when Viego sees an enemy Thresh, so that would be a scenario where Thresh goes against Viego, not necessarily related to the queen, and with Thresh having betrayed his people before of course Viego wouldn't be surprised with that.
I did notice something while playing him When he dances, he dances with his sword as if it was his tango partner. While it could just be him dancing with his sword, I believe he could be dancing with a fragment of his wife which was in his sword
Regarding the Yorick quote: I have a theory that while Senna is holding the soul of Isolde, I think that the maiden of the mists is what happened to her body.
Yeah I agree that the maiden of the mists is likely the body of the queen Isolde. It would make sense why it specifically pulls souls or siphons souls from people, to keep living.
The prefix "Ur", at least in my native language, means something that is incredibly ancient and more specifically the first of something. He calls Fiddlesticks "Ur-Demon" which could hint that Fiddle is the first or atleast one of the first demons to ever exist.
I don't what language your referring to but the Ur prefix IS English it means old/primeval. It's not random or something Riot made up. The prefix made it's way into English from German. It's also a lingusitical cousin to the prefix "or" as in ordeal.
Necrit: "he has a lot of quotes about the ruination continuing. This is setting up the the story for 2021" Me: "the story in runeterra, right?" me: *looks at recent news* me: "...right?"
goddamn living in Runeterra is basically isekai hard mode. the world's constantly on the end times. it's like a bingo card of "how would Runeterra be destroyed?"
like earth is any different all it takes is one supervirus, one natural disaster, one nuclear meltdown, and we all get wiped off the face of the planet
It's either a pissed off star dragon escaping. An angry godslayer starting *the last* war. Big iron completing his plans. An e-boy throwing a tantrum. Purple bois and gorls going on a picnic in Runetera. Or god knows what else.
Why do I imagine him just sitting in a full body swimsuit clutching his staff singing part of your world while Nagakeburos hates that she hears everything on the sea
Wish they would make a cinematic with yorick in it, i would love to see a man with a giants ass anime sword fight a man with jojo proportions with a shovel and his stand
Veteran: "Welcome to the ranked club, kid! We got the plat and above players, golds, silvers and forever bronze!" Newbie: "What about that guy in the corner? Is...is he ok?" Veteran: "Ehm...we don't talk about him...he's...uhm..."
I’ve seen a theory that the reason the ruination hit the three specific spots in the cinematic is that those location are where Isolde’s soul is and that Viego has to collect all of them. This ties into the sewing aspect of the next champ as he is attempting to put her back together one thread at a time
But then again, that also makes the King's decision to pull the mist out of these spots all the more weird. If he knows where the threads are and he can manifest the Mist in those spots, why not just claim them all then and there? He didn't stop because of Triumvirate's intervention in Noxus or the Demacian army halting his progress, as far as I know he could grab them and skiddadle.
@@thosebloodybadgers8499 unless he just wanted those locations to be marked so he can be there in person. It seems like he has to be there to collect it. Think of it like him grabbing the soul from senna, the soul calling out to its other parts, and Viego using that as a guide since he sent the mist ahead so he can follow the devastation
I would REALLY love a line for Mordekaiser, since Viego is basically just the mini boss of undead scenarios lol. Mordekaiser is the real final boss xD.
Well considering Mordekaiser now literally has nothing to do with Shadow Isle at all, it is not that big of an issue. The whole black/green color seems to just be the theme of necromancy in general. On the other hand Morde probably doesn’t give a rat fucking ass about who Viego is. A spoiled brat who simps for “de queen” is probably the least of his concern when he practically turned the afterlife into his bitch and plan to conquer the material plane of existence. Tho there is a chance that viego might fucked up some stupid shit in Noxus that may somehow affect the process of Morde returning. He might accidentally speed it up by weakening the boundary of the living and the dead, which may or may not be the reason that there was black mist spilling from Noxus. It could be Morde seeing the chance and give him a hand so he will have an easier time later. I hope Morde doesn’t just appear at the very end of the story and be like “hehe dis my plan all along viego is my pawn omegalul”, that will be kinda cliche.
Viego calling fiddlesticks ur-demon gives us an idea that not only is fiddlesticks one of the most ancient demons to exist... he may be THE most ancient demon, since "ur" means primitive or original
It could also be possible that the Maiden is the body of Isolde ? Senna getting the soul and Yorick the body ? It would explain why he seems to reconized her.
@@kylarstern17 that actually sounds really likely. and fits the timeline much more. also when viego is calling ryze by his name, he should call him tyrus instead, if he just mixed them up.
I just want to know more about that Lost eastern kingdom, where Viego, Hecarim, Kalista, and Vladimir came from. Undiscovered maps always the most interesting places
Iirc didn't they say before that Viego's Kingdom was close to Demacia? I think the idea of it being a "far eastern kingdom " is relatively new now, isn't it?
Even if he’s just delusional, my head canon is still Isolde is just chilling with Yorick in the Shadow Isles while Viego destroys the world. Right under his nose the whole time
all the new skins from the ruined skin line, draven, karma and shycanna have the same tryangular hole thing, it's where the black mist it's entering their bodies and corrupting them
Yow can I just point out that when Viego was speaking about his reoccuring experience about the Queen in the waters you can hear less echo and Viego's voice when he was Human and also at the cinematic when he got Isolde's soul you can actually see his skin being more human than being more ghoulish, is there, by any chance, that those moments where Viego is turning more human has something to do with the lore? Or is that just me that see's/hear those things? Because if it does have significant lore then that would be cool asf and I think it is a way to deal with Viego in his Game, The Ruined King, by making him come back to his past so they can kill the Ruined King, anyways thats just my thoughts
I'm really looking forward to Ledros, Necrit said he wouldn't likely be added to League because we already have knights but every knight so far is not a typical knight with a shield and sword. Actually now to think of it besides Leona i can't remember any other champions with a shield and sword
@@tenderandmoist5011 Leona is sword and shield but I think ledros would be a unique support, and it would help kalista back into the game, because in lore they’re “lovers”
Ok, imagine Riot making a sort of "ending event" for Runeterra. Where u get a bunch of missions that each lead to a different path of how Runeterra comes to an end. One ending could be the Ruination. One is where the Void corrupts all. The return of Mordekaiser to end it all and bring chaos to the world. Darkin that roam the land. The World Runes that go ham. And maybe a good ending where all the bad shit goes away. Like a sort of campaign mode. Or just make a seperate game for it.
I love how Viego has so much Pyke energy of thinking everyone is Isolde in the same way that everyone is on The List and forgetting exactly who killed him. Gonna be really interesting seeing them go against eachother in the game.
If you could only upload vids more often... your content is the best by far. Even though i quited League this season, i really love the lore and the way you present it to us. Been here for a long time and i will not go away
@@Dante-5408 she sais senna, in german u can understand it better cause the voices are, f up ... but that one helped me understand what the soul was saying ^^
For hecarim’s line, I felt that Viego knew how hecarim was using him even before the ruination and did not like it, and was cathartic on how he has been reduced to becoming just a vengeful wraith, always being below Viego for eternity.
they just really need to update his voicelines lol not like a vgu because that will turn him into a late game monster knowing rito but what they did for lux some years back
I think that Viego is referring to the flask of light that Yorick is carrying (not the Maiden of the mist), that is a shard of Isolde. Because Isolde kept Senna from being corrupted the same way the flask is keeping Yorick from falling into madness. Edit: sorry, looks like it’s wrong
If i'm not mistaken, the flask Yorick carries contains the blessed waters, which protected him when the ruination happened and allows him to live in the shadow isles. I've seen a lot o people speculating that the Maiden of the Mist is the queen's body.
5:52 I dont think he talks about thresh's treason against the monks. His "The only thing that surprised me, is that you would win" would make no sense in think. I think he is actually talking about thresh having his own plans. Because Thresh kinda had the soul of Isolde for years in his lantern, when he captured Senna and hid it from Viego. So I think Thresh has big plans himself. Because a guy who is collecting souls would normally notice, if something like a powerfull soul of the Ruined Kings Wife would be captured in his Lantern, I think he was able to intentionally hide it from Viego. I mean the Mist follows Senna everywhere. But if Viego knew Thresh had the soul, he would have killed him in an instant.
The question is: can Viego even kill Thresh? Thresh used the ruination to "transcend" mortality just like the ruination made Viego transcend life and grant him his current power. It is definitely not sure that Viego is powerful enough to easily kill Thresh.
@@guiliguilde Yeah maybe you're right, but i guess he can still outpower Thresh and have him inprisoned so he can do no more harm. I mean Viego controlls nearly the whole shadow isles and the mist. But maybe Thresh has some secret card up his sleeves (or in his lantern haha) so yeah.
I feel I should sub before 500k just so I can say that I’ve been here before you hit it and seeing how it’s at 499k I have a feeling it will happen soon
Morde isn't from Shadow Isles anymore. Remember that Riot rebooted his entire character. His reign and terror existed before the events of Ruination, and assuming that Viego is from the far East of Runeterra, he never heard nor interacted with Morde who is in the Old Kingdom of Noxus.
@@bellsama6588 hmm yeah fair point. Kinda weird he never heard of Morde's reign in the West, had me thinking this guy is probably busy simping for Isolde.
