These vets were so nice to go over there and share their story. It baffles me he wasn't host enough to have a drink available for them - that can be refilled too.

Terrific views expressed by Skip: Thank you for your service. The importance of the role of chaplains in the service and in hospitals is too often overlooked.

@@reginaldperry1202 - I did not participate in any protests but it IS okay to protest against something such as a war we should NOT have been involved in. However it is un-American and disgusting to mistreat, disrespect or ignore ANY of our country's honorable servicemen and women. They are the reason we CAN protest legally. Many groups do not hold proper protests, especially those that included hatred or disdain towards any vets. Welcome home brother! Thank you for your service.

DaNang USAF perimeter security 1971. When Phu Cat shut down lot's of Security guys came there in 1971..They despised DaNang as a pit. I didn't know different. But a pit it was ....holes in the fence, rocket attacks, no plumbing., Viet Cong as barbers/mamasans .....Must have been good at Phu Cat.

The only thing this guy needed to say in his 1 1/2 hour interview (for history) was that Vietnam was a HUGE mistake and wrong for Americans to be in...AND....that he realized he enabled that mistake and got a second chance at life by dodging a bullet from the people he was trying to kill. That would have taken 1 minute.

Vietnam ,Iraq and Afghanistan were all losing conflicts. A tragic waste of human life and waste of trillions of dollars. The Iraq people have infrastructure that was destroyed and never recovered. Afghanistan is right back where it was 35 years ago. The leaders are safe at home and the Servicemen pay the price. Tell me what good was accomplished. USAF 66-70 Retired police officer

The ABCs of Salvation, or how to be right with God, and know you're going to Heaven: A-dmit that you're a sinner, and need a Savior. As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 B-elieve that Jesus Christ died paying the penalty for your sins, and rose from the grave. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross. 1 Peter 2:24 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures... 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 C-all on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, and trust only in Him for your salvation. If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 The moment you "believe," or, put your trust in what Jesus has done for you, God saves you and your eternal destiny in Heaven is assured. You go from spiritual death to eternal life the moment you believe. Jesus said it this way: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24😀

People who protest wars are patriots too.

Often those who speak out against the actions of the government are the truest patriots - when the government does wrong like it did in getting the US involved in the mass murder of the Vietnamese people.

@@jimmyandkathyharrell You misunderstood the post you replied to. He is in favor of warranted protests and understands the reason(s) we can legally hold them in America. Protest the war(s) if you care to but do not disrespect our veterans whom the overwhelming majority were simply performing duty for their country.

Yes , protesters CAN be Patriots too but not if they mistreat the veterans. That was the travesty of many Vietnam protesters.
