You gave us a lot of bands to go through so we broke it up in to 2 parts, but you guys definitely put us through hell on this. lol! DownFall NetWork / @downfallnetwork
Wiggles vs. Torsofuck is actually a tough one. I got into both bands in the early-2000’s when my kids were little. Torsofuck is obviously heavier and actually a metal band, but Wiggles have some bangers.
Love these!! Some of these choices are hard and I agree with Rin on AIC vs Nirvana, Sonic Youth! Honestly this inspires me to investigate some bands that I have never really listened to.
I fucking love you guys, everytime I'm getting drunk I watch your videos and (generally I'm bored when I'm drunk) you always entertain me. (and I'll ignore your hate for nu metal lol)
Love you guys and just checking out some past videos and it's cool to hear BryceTalksMetal mentioned bc he's another one of my favorite channels to watch! Ted and Aerosmith are obviously both great but I have to say I like more Aerosmith songs
I agree with Nick on Sodom! Sodom is really awesome! They're a lot more consistent and I just recently listened to them and I think that they're fantastic! Wish I would put them up in my Big Four, but Sepultura took the last spot. Sodom is definitely great!
Sepultura(Max) vs Sepultura(No Max). Sepultura vs Pantera. Melvins vs Clutch. Vader vs Red Harvest. General surgery vs Mortician. Diecide vs Hypocrisy. Gorefest vs Napalm Death. Crowbar vs Coroner. Marduk vs Akercocke. Borknagar vs Dimmu Borgir. Meshuggah vs Candiria. I could go on forever lol. But I think I'll stop at Black Comedy vs Sphere. Man this channel is fun for me.
Jason Bitner used to Drum for Shadows Fall a band i think is underrated. From the 2000's New Wave of American Heavy Metal. Like Lamb of God and others from that era. I agree Warbringer writes really awesome Thrash tracks. Their first album War Without end is in the classic Thrash vein.
Necrotic Nick- I saw Bitner with Shadows Fall at least 3 times and he was killer each time. I was happy to hear he got the gig with Overkill when he got it. He's a great fit for them.
Goddamn it guys, you had to be playing Bloodbath in the background so it was really hard to pay attention...lol, mostly kidding. Love these videos as well and some great organic humor \m/
OverKill over Testament all day too. I'm nowhere near as big a Testament fan as the many fans I come across. I just like The New Order and a handful of newer tracks.
Necrotic Nick- While Kreator has some legit classics, I've gotta go with Testament. Testament's worst album is a lot better than Kreator's misfires like Endorama. They've repaired that damage though.
I got tickets for the Sepultura North American Tour with Sacred Reich, Crowbar, and Art Of Shock. It’s been rescheduled twice🤦🏽♂️ hopefully it doesn’t get canceled this year
Necrotic Nick- We’ll probably do this again and make a post in the community posts for it so if you’re subscribed you should see it come up. We’re doing album vs album next time.
Dokken for me! Ratt is really good too! Both of them are in my top 3 for hair metal bands of all time! Dokken is up in my top 10 for metal bands of all time!
Necrotic Nick- I still love the Barnes era stuff with Cannibal so it's debatable as to whether or not they got better. Immolation to me has a pretty much spotless discography, but I am a giant fanboy of them.

Hey guys new to your channel. Sorry came in a little late but I love this game. Thought I'd play along. For me it's ... Aerosmith - early work is classics. Ratt - as I am not that familiar with Dokken, gonna have to check them out. Not all too familiar Gehenna or Ancient I really like both Loudness and Anthem. Gonna go with a tie. I really like several of Black Sabbath's earlier albums but I grew up on Ozzy and I like more of his solo albums, so i gotta give it to Ozzy. Although the latest Ozzy is terrible. Deicide all the way. I like Both Thrower but Deicide has more albums in their roster that i love. Self titled, Legion, Once Upon the Cross are just classics to for me. Man I love both Gorguts & Suffocation but I'll give it to Suffocation. Kreator - as I am only just now listening to Sodom. Pantera - my all time fave band. Got me into heavier metal. Testament - The Ritual remains one of my all time favorite albums. Cannibal Corpse - Gets better with age and their earlier works are the staple of death metal. Warbringer - Just all around amazing thrash. Anthrax - although Alice in Hell is a classic and one of my favorite thrash albums. Autopsy - not a big Obituary fan. Blind Guardian - Love power metal. I'm only familiar with King Diamond's solo stuff so I have to go with it. Morbid Angel - Sure they have some terrible albums but they have some great ones as well. I like how MA evolve their sound as well, although not always for the best. Testament - Dave is a douche and that will always take away points for me with Megadeth. Now Metallica or Megadeth and it's Megadeth. Lars and James are just as bad as Dave if not worse. Pantera Not famiiliar with either of these bands. Checked out both Haken and Caligula's Horse on Deezer and they both seem pretty cool. Periphery gets cheesy but I like them. Testament Cannibal Corpse Dream Theater - Images & Words is one of my favorite albums. Not a fan of Opeth but I do own all their albums. Immortal Slayer - Too many solid and classic releases. Judas Priest - All though the first album I ever bought was Killers. Bolt Thrower - Not as familiar with Death. Black Sabbath with Ozzy. Deicide Dark Tranquility - Gonna need to check out more of ATG. Listen to their first album when it was released back in the day. Didn't care for it and never went back. My metal tastes have evolved since then and I will need to revisit At the Gates. Not familiar with Bathory or Celtic Frost, I know of them just never really listened to them. Morbid Angel Unleashed - I own Grave's You'll never see and love it but I really like Unleashed's take on Viking Death Metal. Testament Cannibal Corpse Repeat - Kreator Immolation Warbringer Accept - I am also more familiar with Accept. Candlemass Immortal Black Sabbath Slipknot - Mushroomhead is just boring. Anthrax Van Halen - RIP Eddie Pink Floyd Faith no More Suffocation Slayer - all the way. Ozzy Alice in Chains S.O.D. Cannibal Corpse Cattle Decap Venom Green Jelly - I know people are gonna hate me now. But Jelly is just stupid fun. Rob Zombie - Cause he's not a rapey douche like Manson. Manson's just a self loathing ass who treats women and his band mates like shit. MM some great songs but he can fuck right off. Pantera Primus Suicidal Tendencies Coal Chamber Biohazard - although Prong more recent releases have been pretty damn good. Testament Destruction - Not familiar with Tankard. Never heard of Xentrix or Toxic. Nor have I ever heard of Razor or Sacrifice. Annihilator - Alice in Hell is a thrash classic. Power Trip - Great band, just learned of them from this video. Listening to them now. Behemoth Anthrax Warbringer Scorpions Jinjer - Tatiana has more vocal range. I love both new and old Arch Enemy but Jinjer just does more for me. Mudvayne AC/DC Forbidden Toxic Holocaust Crowbar Down Queensryche Rush Tenacious D - Steel Panther is still a funny band. Avatar - man I love Avatar, I think they are very unique. Motorhead Fear Factory Ministry - Psalm 69 is classic. KMFDM kicks ass but I love Ministry NIN Sacred Reich Flotsam & Jetsam Skeleton Witch Nile - all the way. My favorite tech death band. Hell my favorite death metal all around. Candlemass ZZ Top - Love them.
@@BBQcheeseAh yes, A Classic Metallica Hater!!! Sorry James Vocal is much more superior than Dave, It's not even close, All metalheads Knows about that.
Don't know if you guys still doing these, but here'd be my list of some ( hopefuly ) tough yet interesting choices ( that make sense - at least for the most part ) to crack your heads on: Meshuggah VS Blotted Science Diablo VS Children of Bodom Soilwork VS Scar Symmetry Mangled VS Diocletian Trivium VS Killswitch Engage Nightwish VS Epica Sikth VS Protest the Hero Extreme VS Faith No More Dark Tranquility VS Wolfsheart Emperor VS Enslaved Testament VS Annihilator Queens of the Stone Age VS Kyuss Mnemic VS Threat Signal Opeth VS Porcupine Tree Fear Factory VS Dagoba Sonata Arctica VS Stratovarius Rage VS Angel Dust Hypocrisy VS Kataklysm Katatonia VS Novembre Marduk VS Anaal Nathrakh In Extremo VS Subway to Sally
Blotted Science Children of Bodom Soilwork Dicletian Trivium Epica Protest the Hero Faith No More Dark Tranquility Emperor Testament Queens of the Stone Age (although Kyuss is an awesome band) Mnemic Opeth Fear Factory Sonata Artica Neither Hyprocisy Katatonia Anaal Nathrakh Not familiar
What is the background band that was playing? That tapping sounded familiar (At the beginning that is, didn't realize the video is an hour long lol) Oh, hold on, good old Bloodbath, Eaten helped out
When it comes to Periphery vs Tesseract,i have to break it down into different categories. Vocals: Tesseract (I actually like Spencer's vocals in Periphery, especially on the heavier tracks, but I personally think Spencer puts too much effort into his vocals most of the time, while Daniel from Tesseract just sounds like he does it almost effortlessly.) Instrumentation: Periphery Lyrics: Tesseract Overall winner: Tesseract
Early Autopsy (mental funeral and severed survival) are doom/death masterpieces. Speaking of late 80 early 90 death metal, Whose excited for the Cavalera Brothers BTR/Arise Tour??!!!! I AM!!!!!!!🤘
Necrotic Nick- We put up a post awhile ago asking our viewers to make us choose between 2 bands in the comments so this our response to the first half of them. We’re getting close to the Black Sabbath ranking as well. We’re just waiting for a time when all of us can get together for it.
Slayer has some really bad albums, tho I agree risk is worse than anything. But come on man, Rust in Peace and Peace Sells murders every Slayer album and most metal albums.
@@Haxprocess I disagree. Rust in Peace and Peace Sells are great, but they don't "murder" Reign in Blood, Seasons in the Abyss or Hell Awaits. Nothing beats Reign in Blood. Slayer was better over a longer period of time. Megadeth had a few great albums early on, then went downhill just like Metallica. Slayer did have some clunkers late in their career, but I count more for Megadeth. Risk, The World Needs a Hero and Super Collider are all awful.
I'd say Nuclear Assault over Anthrax, their best material is leagues better than Anthrax best, and I'd also just say that their personality was much stronger, I personally don't feel too attached to the identity Anthrax has built for themselves. Nuclear Assault is just much more straight forward in what their music is imo
I'm happy y'all had the balls to pick Helloween. They're actually my favorite metal band of all time, with Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2 being my favorite metal album of all time. Even if you're not a fan of power metal, Helloween should ALWAYS be an exception. The new album from last year was awesome too. Walls of Jericho and the Keeper of the Seven Keys Trilogy are classics in the metal scene, and if you want dark and heavy stuff from them, I suggest you listen to albums like Master of the Rings, Time of the Oath, and The Dark Ride. Believe me, I'm not even that crazy about power metal, but Helloween just do it right. You know why, it's because they created it (along with Stratovarius, but Helloween's better). Yes, Helloween can resort to falling into that power metal trope sometimes, but they just find a way to make it work. That's what makes Helloween that special of a band.
I'm not the biggest power metal fan, but I would say that Helloween is awesome. They're my number one power metal band. I don't have a problem with them.
DragonForce, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Avantasia, Riot, and Manowar are the only other power metal bands I would say that are really awesome. I prefer listen to progressive metal/symphonic metal more personally.
@@takodabostwick8507 I'm glad you like Helloween, and you're right about them being awesome. Their new album from last year won the album of the year award for me, I love that record. I also find it interesting that you like those other power metal bands you listed, but I'd like to know your opinions on Hammer Fall, Angra, or Edguy. If you like Avantasia, then you'll love Edguy. It's where Avantasia came from l. As for Angra and Hammer Fall, they're also some fun power metal bands (they can be cheesy yes, but it can work). I'd also be interested in your opinion about both of them.
@@waterdive122productions6 I heard that Kiko Loureiro used to be in Angra. He was over there as a guitarist for them. Now he's in Megadeth, replacing Chris Broderick. He used to be in Jag Panzer. Megadeth is great, but I'm so annoyed with their lineup changes to be quite honest. The 2 guitarists I just mentioned are great, but they'll never be at Marty Friedman's league at all.
@@takodabostwick8507 Yeah, I forgot about Kiko being in Angra before Megadeth. Megadeth is one of my favorite bands (but Metallica is slightly better imo), and I can see how their constant lineup changes can be annoying. Kiko is an awesome guitarist, but you're right about him being not nearly as good as Marty Friedman. That whole lineup from Megadeth should've never broken up imo. RIP Nick Menza.
Gwar vs primus, down vs melvins, eyehategod vs superjoint ritual, clutch vs corrosion of conformity, iwrestledabearonce vs the dillenger escape plan, witchcraft vs graveyard, tool vs faith no more, danzig vs Zack wild, orange goblin vs electric wizard
👍👍👍👍👍👍 SatyrIcon vs dimmi bor Holy moses vs arch enemy, skelton remains vs skelethal Moonsorrow vs fintoroll TYR vs ensiferum 👍👍👍👍 Cheers for the entertainment..... P. S watch warbringer live..... Amazing..... Saw them tour with testament👍
Pink Floyd's "Animals," spearheads Rush's entire collection. Faith No More's "Angel Dust," is the single most CRIMINALLY undervalued in rock history. Dio sucks. The best thing Nirvana ever did, was give the world Foo Fighters. GIVE GWAR SOME F***ING LOVE!!
