I've seen the movie and there is some fun stuff. Some MISSES. 6.22 in this movie. Suddenly the Viggen has changed nosegear ;) I've climbed on this aircraft for 11 month in my militaryservice but never seen that nosegear ;) anyway...I really miss this aircraft and it will always be nr1 for me.
Not really, the rest is not at all related to flying or the air force. It's a semi-dark love story about a fighter pilot who becomes a paraplegic after a diving accident and his battle to regain confidence and lust for living.
The stunt flights are made by Kn Martin Birkfeldt and Mj Tore Ottosson :-) I saw this dogfight from the ground in the summer 1994. I reacted when I heard and saw two JA 37 Viggen the sky dogfighting. Sometimes one or two AJS 37 Viggen from F 7 but never JA 37 Viggen. :-O
I have this Movie on dvd and there are some other good scenes of Viggens in there , on the flightline and in the air . Quality footage of Viggens is rare on YT , footage yes , quality , no.
You are right about quality, but I think it comes down to the quality of the recording equipment that was available in the era. It's like old photos, they aren't great either but we're lucky to have them anyway. It seems though that more and more stuff is seeping out of the wardrobes and drawers now as people realize that the Viggen is no longer a military secret and they also have the means to digitize stuff.
I agree , but look at Gula Division 1954 ,in very good quality , yes it is professionally made and the Tunnan looks great in that Big Blue sky . I have often wondered just what great footage all the old Viggen units must have , stuffed into those draws to and in time I hope it seeps out . Will anyone ever digitally remaster it to Blu ray quality , I doubt it But please if you have some out there just up load it as it is for All of us Viggi fans..
sexigt flygplan, minns när jag var liten. min morfar bodde nära f10 i ängelholm, varje gång vi hälsade på såg jag när draken och viggen plan flög över hans lantgård på låg höjd
i guess Swedish aircraft manufacture should change the ejection seat with more comfortable office chair then? or car seat, which is more comfortable in absorbing pot hole since everything is design to be used in highway instead in the air hehe
in the US, after 3 ejections, your career as a fighter pilot is over (due to back compression). After that, you'll either be flying a bus, or a desk. Believe me, they don't want to eject. 3 strikes and you're out!
well it is a good excuse to try the ejection seat though? not many fighter pilots will have a chance to try their ejection seat hehe anyway the risk still the same, well you might get posted to a desk job after that :P
haha, id like to see the Viggen do a belly landing on a public road. 1) that huge missile looking thing hanging under its belly is the fuel tank..and 2)..land on that and BOOOM
Jag såg på håll när man gjorde vissa av flygscenerna. Jag blev så förvånad över att Jaktviggen var i krokarna när normalt bara Attackviggen från närliggande Såtenäs busade över stan då och då. Detta var sommaren 1993 har jag för mig.
Nice footage indeed. I do have the DVD, it's a pity it doesn't have English subtitles. It has been on tv here, so I do have it with Dutch subtitles on VHS quality. The brutal power at landing is clearly visible.
O helig skit, detta var bra på riktigt :) Sen vill jag gärna se den inställelsetiden från larm till avspärrad väg i Sverige 2013. Men visst, har man handbroms och framhjulsspinn hoho så är inget omöjligt. :)
Oskar OH Vad har du för browser? Har du uppgraderat Flash? Finns en volymkontroll i själva spelaren också som man lätt missar, inte bara datorns volymkontroller. Felet ligger hursomhelst i din ända på något vis då jag postade videon på ett flygforum igår och ingen har sagt något om ljudet.
