Musical and instrument genius Tommy Johansson born on 26 October, 1987 in Boden, Sweden started playing guitar when he was 9 years old. Tommy started his first band, Guranerna, when he was 13 years old. In 2004, ReinXeed was founded, which became the real starting point in Tommy's musical career. ReinXeed has toured in Sweden, but fanbases are mainly found abroad; in India, Japan, Indonesia, Holland and the USA. In 2009 Johansson was karaoke music champion in Sweden. Tommy Johansson is a Christian and a musical prodigy who seems to basically master all instruments and all songs from all genres. He has recorded three albums with Christian melodic neoclassical power metal bands. In 2008, Majestica started as a project, which later became the new band. In 2011, he performed together with Måns Zelmerlöw at Allsång at Skansen with his own song "The Look." In 2016, Johansson joined Sabaton as guitarist and replaced Thobbe Englund. Tommy is a (multi-talented) multi-instrumentalist who really put his heart and soul into his music career. He is a singer and songwriter. He does all the work on his covers himself - instrumentalist, vocal harmonies, mixing, mastering, video editing. His girlfriend only helps him with filming sometimes. His ambition is to release a new song every Friday every week. He also belongs to the lucky few who can make a living from music. Since last November, he has been living his dream.

tommy is so talented in so many thing... singing, playing instruments (guitar, keyboard/piano and drums that i know of, possibly some other instruments as well), painting artwork (yes, he does that as well, he did the artworks used in one of the music videos from the christmas carol album from his band majestica), audio mastering/engineering and video editing

I'm doing just fine :). Just a busy dad with a full time job with too little time on his hands to do everything he loves doing. I decided to make time and do it anyways. It gave me too much joy when I started the channel and everybody can use a bit more joy in his or her life right? ;)

You made a very on-point remark during this video. About one year ago when I first heard Amazing Grace by Dan Vasc , it completely changed my opinion about Metal Music. Back when we began to hear more and more Metal on MTV in the early 80's, I was a very busy mom with two kids and a very loud husband. Whenever the screaming metal singers would come on it sounded like just more noise and I had plenty of noise in my house without these guys on T.V. adding to it. I was raised with musi d.c in the home and sang in choirs from 4th grade u nk til grsduation

I am all about good vocals no matter what I listen to. Tommy and Floor are both special in that department for metal. I think I actually like Tommy personal projects and he's so talented playing everything too. I am a huge top acapella groups fan but there are several vocalists that stand out in other genres. Haley Reinhart w post modern jukebox doing Creep or 7 nation army covers does jazz of Ella Fitzgerald quality. Diana Ankudinova has one of the most rare and shocking voices on earth for its timbre. Her Elvis cover of Can't help falling in love is soul penetrating (I'm not exaggerating)

Continuing.... sorry. I was angry they were classifying Metal as Music and I would NOT listen to it ever. But when I heard Dan 's incredible voice I was shocked and knew I had to see what was going on. Turns out that I was wrong and thst metsl singrrs have to trsin their voices to sing that wsy. Many of them sang in church growing up and also sing opera. It opened up a whole new thrilling exploration of metal music, and it has been a joy, New to Tommy but, so far he is killing every song and what a range he has ! Dan and Tommy are very diffetent but have a lot of mutual opinions on things. Really looking forward to tryimg cv to keep up with these two going forward .

I agree tho! Before I saw Tommy I thought all Heavy Metal singers were just screamers and couldn't sing other songs, WELL shut my mouth!!! This guy is so incredible!!!! And I love the Heavy Metal spin he puts on his covers! This is my fav version of this song!! even better than the original!!
I'm not the biggest fan of hard metal, but I'll listen to Tommy Johansson singing solo any time. A lot of metal singers have far more vocal ability than we generally get to hear (not that singing in vocal fry for a full concert without killing one's vocal chords isn't a major skill). It's like Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence. I think a lot of people were shocked by David Draiman's range and ability to sing clean as well as with the fry added (with vibrato which apparently is not easy to do).
5:50, he is power metal, not black. It's completely normal for this genre. It's light and good. Not all metal is death. And dark. And goth. Not every metal is extreme.
