Here's how I did this drawing of Ragnar Lothbrok. The beard was the most complex part, so I took the opportunity to talk about my way of drawing it.

That is amazing picture from Ragnar and thank you I learned some useful thing ... can you draw the young Ragnar with hair pls ? And what is that pencil created invisible troughs in beard?

thanks. it's not a pencil. You can just use a pointed stick to carve lines into the paper. no need to press too hard, they will show up once you go over them with charcoal.

My favourite character Ragnar Lothbrok of Vikings! The way he faced death with snakes was unbelievable and now you have captured him on paper. Stunning! You are the best! Don't know why there are no more shows like this! Your technique is amazing!

Beautiful drawing. Like a lot of these videos where the artist is looking down to draw the sound of thevoice becomes muffled. Is there anyway you can position your mic so it picks up your voice better?

I use koh i noor but any fixative will do with charcoal. With pastels I'm not so sure.

I use a variety of brushes, but mostly flat bristle brushes.

I'm not sure what you mean. I use brushes for blending and spreading the charcoal.

I used a cheap local brand of paper. You can use any paper, but it's better if it's thick.

@@clintsarvida8284 no, any regular drawing paper will do, just not very thin sketching paper. Honestly, I don't know the name of the brand.
