Pam Burton OMG YES! I’ve been telling everybody THAT was the moment of Case Keenum’s life right there.. it just doesn’t happen that way in real life.. except when it DOES
When I saw that, I said "they HAVE to re-sign him, right?" nope, they commit 20% of their cap with a non-difference maker QB and have to skimp everywhere else.. hopefully, the new Regime can turn things around
I was at a sports book in Reno Nevada watching that game a guy had bet $400.00 at 1/2 time that the Saints would win. He was all cocky about how much money he had won and was standing at the counter saying you can save time and just pay me now. And then the pass happened it was funny as hell.
The Saints just inherited the Viking post season choke curse!!!! My best guess is it was the ghost of Brett Farve from when you killed him in 2009. #BLEWDAT Now off to the pit of misery until next season! DILLY DILLY
The Vikes curse is on kickers. We will have a solid kicker that never miss and then with no time on the clock in the playoffs they miss and are never consistent again after.......Just look at Walsh in SEA he still hasnt recovered.
Finally, national media talking about the Vikings win vs Saints losing. Agreed, Bounty Gate 2009 PAYBACK, so sad for Brees NOT. Even sadder is Keenum gone before the next season followed by Diggs a couple years later. Reminds me of the 2009 team that was on fire with Favre - Rice - Shaincoe - Harvin, all out of football within a couple years.
Clutch?? really? Notin' clutch about that play. The defender did more to help the Vikings win than anybody on that play. That's probably the worse defensive play I have ever seen in that situation. Can't even understand what he was thinking or thought he was trying to do. Absolutely ridiculous
It wasn't particularly clutch so much as it was an epic choke on Marcus Williams. Considering the Vikings post season luck it was clutch for that team, but still 75% Saints choke 25% Vikings clutch
Jay S - As I've watched the replay a dozen (or two) times, IMHO Williams pulled up to keep from getting a pass interference. He was a step or two too early to make a legit play, so he ducked under Diggs. Had he interfered, there would've been 5-6 seconds left on the clock.
steve b - watch it again. Williams was a step or two too early to hit him w/o drawing the P.I. flag. The way I see it, he dove under Diggs to avoid an early hit because he was moving too fast to pull up. Anyway, Williams missed his timing and the Vikes go to Philly next Sunday.
And the cheap shot against Stephan as well. That O-Lineman wasnt blocking anyone and went for his legs while he was engaged with another O-Lineman. Cheap Cheap Cheap.
@@mrmazuts930 Yes and the reason he gets the concussion from coming down to the ground is because of how hard the cheap shot is, which causes his head to hit the groud with force
JDHardisty Hard to say that when the Seahawks had to actually have so much go their way after looking horrible for almost 3 quarters. Way worse than the saints did. Improbability of the endings were similar though.
As amazing as the Minneapolis Miracle was, it shouldn't have been necessary. Minnesota blew a 17-point halftime lead, and I say this as a lifelong Vikings fan.
This was sweet. When I saw Payton dancing in the locker room after the Saints beat the Panthers, I thought it reminded me of Favre dancing around and singing "Pants on the ground" after the Vikings beat the Cowboys in 2009. Then I knew the Saints were going to lose.
5:00 Wow, Diggs gets ridiculously held on double move on the INT that Case threw. Good thing they missed it or else there's probably no need for the Minneapolis Miracle.
Never gets old but re Keenum, most of the time the receivers are wide open, the O-line gave him plenty of time, his brain fart throw almost cost them the game as earlier in the season against the Redskins. Cousins major upgrade.
Raiders should have never let Murray go. He’s undervalued by the sports media and football fans in general. He’s one of the best blocking RBs in the NFL. One of the best red zone RBs in the NFL. He’s a very good pass catching RB. And for his size, 6’3”, his fast. Derek Carr sure missed his blocking abilities in 2017 although Lynch is a good blocker.
***sigh*** still think they should've kept Keenum and Bridgewater. Worse case scenario is what the Vikings got and if then, you had a scapegoat(s). Keenum was cheap and he had team chemistry which, imo, lacked with Mr. 80whateverguarnteedmillion. The savings could've been used to shore up the rest of the team. Ah, well....
7:34 what do you mean Keenum threw it away lol? It was another pass interference that the refs missed. Rudolph was mugged and the defender didn't turn around to play the ball. The ball hit Rudolph in the left hand. He would have caught it without the PI. 2 missed PI's on 3rd down against us.
This music just made me think that the Vikings are a bad ass super hero the whole game. First kicking ass, then getting ass kicked, then winning last moment. #makingastatement
Dam that last play lots of acting cam Jordan turns away from sacking the qb. Then Marcus Williams missing the tackle on purpose why I say it was on purpose I’ve seen this player on his rookie season he played lights out impossible for him to make a mistake like that.
At the end of the game the defender had already wiffed the tackle when the receiver caught the winning touch down? It is more amazing that was not the discussion.
Will someone explain to me why the term walkoff is being used here? If the Saints intercepted it would be a walkoff interception? Why do we need this term?
It's just an agreed upon sports term in which most people understand the meaning. If you win by scoring on the final play of the game, it's a walkoff. As in everyone can now walkoff the field and go home, the game is over. There have been 552 playoff games in NFL history and this is the first time one of them has ended on a game winning TD as time expired in regulation. Several other games have had game winning TD's scored in the final 30 seconds, and there have been 12 OT games that have ended with a walkoff TD, including last years Super Bowl.
That DB did that on purpose----he HAD TO ! There's no way he doesn't at least stop Diggs, or tackle him! NO Way. ------He threw it---he had to. ----------------------WolfSky9
i don't watch the games anymore but Patriots will no doubt go to SB.... same ole boring games.... i'm a fan of no one but hope the jags fool all of you.... not sure why you're so excited over this game do you remember in the playoffs (not sure the year) Saints played 49ers.... Saints thought they had the game then and with just a few seconds left Davis ran for a TD and 49ers won the game... so this is no shocker.... plus it ain't over until it's over...
Matt Partlow are you kidding me? The highlights didn't show shit. Vikings first TD came from a terrible 1st down call by the refs. On 3rd and 2 the Saints stopped the RB but gave it to the Vikings, announcers called BS. That drive should've ended and not resulted in 7 points. The following drive, that second pass interference call was BS because Stefon Diggs tripped. Watch the replay, the announcers also said it was a terrible call. Free 35 yard gain. That guy tackles Diggs in bounds? Clock runs out, game over. Vikings had a 17-0 lead and let the Saints back in. If the no. 1 defense lets that shit happen and they win because of that BS then I say the Saints got robbed because they put their all into that second half and should've come out on top.
The worst play by a DB in the history of the NFL!!! As a DB you know what the receiver has to do, he has to turn and get out of bounds!!! Make a tackle and end the game!!!
Minnesota miracle Saints lose to Rams, no call PI, that was the best screw job over the saints right there 🤣, Lose to the Vikings again in the wild card. Now Brees retires, saints suck lol.
