According to historians they were all tripping balls on mushrooms as well lol so no wonder they weren't afraid

Sorry to disappoint, but unfortunately, that's most likely a myth. After watching that Vikings episode where Rollo joins Jarl Borg & fights against Ragnar... I wanted to know what mushrooms they ate, so did much research. There is no actual historical evidence (from that time) that berserkers ate such mushrooms (in fact, I couldn't find any fungi with such properties that grows in Scandinavia). It was something ppl wrote much later on to embellish the Vikings' mythos... just like the idea that berserkers fought shirtless... also seems to be inaccurate based on what was recorded at that time (it was centuries later when ppl started saying berskers fought shirtless and ate mushrooms)
