@Michael Mahogany hes not even the best of his era and therefore he aint the best in history. He lost to holyfield twice and he didnt even have that good of a record. Lewis also beat both of them which would in theory make him „greater“, which is why you will find him further up in the only legit rankings there are.
@@bigd5899 Mike's record was 49-3 with 43 knockouts to Lenox Lewis 39-2-1 with 30 knockouts so okay he was beat by Lewis and Holyfield who he fought three times the third fight was a disqualification because of the ear biting,even after that his record would still be better than Holyfield and Lewis

The names are important, tyson lost to douglas holyfield and lennox, lennox beat them all and even picked up a juicy tko against vitali klitschko before retiring. Thats great. Losing to all of your rivals despite having more talent is not.
I would like to see Iron Mike reacting to these guys reacting to this. The fact that his name is almost universal, his power and infamy are known; and the speed that he had is amazing. I think he would get a kick out watching people react to his knockouts.

Would have been an interesting match. Bruce is a legend but so is Mike. I feel like Bruce Lee would have come in with a flying kick and got knocked out before he hit the ground. I could be wrong. Too bad we’ll never know.

Love how that old guy was genuinely enjoying himself. I think we found a new boxing fan. Always good to have great fans. Boxing really transcends race and culture to bring all of us together.

Not just boxing fighting in general if you wver notice who comes to watch a basketball game at school maybe like 40 and then who comes to watch a fight at school literally everyone so it just shows that fighting is all engrained to be entertaining in our human nature

He was quoting Joe Louis who said "Everyone has a plan until they get hit". Tyson was a student of the sport and thought very highly of Louis among others that came before him.
I love how they've shown these people everything from the microscopic world to the infinite universe, and felt Tyson beating the shit out of people was also worthy of showing. And I absolutely agree.
They don't know that it's a compilation of Tyson's knockouts. They're basically like kids when they discover or watch something new they're just excited
Some of these fights were after he had served his prison sentence. I am glad that he is still alive, fit, and doing well with his endeavors! I think he is on Broadway doing a one man show.
@@lydiaedwards8100 yeah he just got done that. He has a podcast now called "Hotboxing" he just did a set with Bill Burr and Jeremy Piven (Really funny and introspective, you should give it a listen). Apparently Tyson and Piven are friends. I think he also started a CBD company somewhere in Oregon. He's finally found Peace and a good woman.
Years ago my family paid to see a much anticipated Tyson fight on TV. We all had our snacks and were just sitting down comfortably expecting to watch an hour or more of boxing. We had barely sat down and the fight was all over in one punch. 😟😟😟💸💸💸
Same! My brother and his friend saved up a bunch of money to pay for the pay per view. They were so angry that it was over in one punch after they'd paid. 😂

In his early disciplined years Tyson was the greatest boxer of all time . He was just so fast , so powerful , so accurate , and had a iron chin to boot . I had never seen anyone close to his caliber , I probably won't ever see anybody that good again in my lifetime . Unfortunately he only accomplished a fraction of what he was capable of .

@@0r0r0 He started partying with chicks , went to jail , got in with different trainers and promoters . He actually fought a bout after contracting gonorrhea . He just didn't have the focus on his career that he once had.
Roro, he got slowed down by all of the above. But most of all he was devestated by the untimely demise of his legendary coach, who was like a father figure to him he never wanted to disappoint. After that, his performance gradually slowed down and he picked up a lot of self destructive vices.
Just seeing all of his opponents tower over him at the beginning of each match. Then seeing them being chopped down and falling like trees is so satisfying. No one could ever amount to such power.
I was in my twenties when Tyson was fighting. People were getting a bit pissed off though they would go to a fight look down at their seat, sit down, look up and the fight was over. 😂
I used to love watching iron Mike. Must have only been about 12 years old and my dad would let me stay up late to watch the fights with him. He was a wrecking ball with a deadly punch 🥊
Dude. You couldn't go to the bathroom to take a piss when his fight was on. By the time you flushed it would probably be over. There was a palpable sense of destiny every time he stepped into the ring. That's why when he lost to Buster Douglas it was a shock. It was like finding out about santa or the tooth fairy. A fundamental truth about your childhood was proven wrong.
Seeing this video and realizing how good he was at such a young age helps me to understand why he seemed to me to have such a big ego. I appreciate his talent more now.
Naah.. You need to be a little more aware of the technical side of boxing to appreciate Ali's matches. First time viewers tend to forget that he's a heayweight, because he would move too fast for one. Also, Ali lived in the age of boxing greats. He was more closely matched (only in comparison) to his opponents in terms of skill than Tyson was to his opponents. To a casual viewer, Ali's fights won't be as dramatic as Tyson's.

i have seen Mike Tyson knockouts so many times in the past. in this video i was looking at Mikes knockouts again without looking at the villagers reactions. so i had to play the vid again to look at the villagers reactions. for me Mike Tyson was the greatest heavy weight of all time, GOAT.
look how excited and awestruck they are watching decades later....Imagine, how they would feel, if they saw him in real time and pay per view. It was the best of times for me as a teen and young adult. Once in a lifetime to see him...I suppose those who saw, ali can say the same.
