Absolutely down for further history reacts! Thin one was very interesting, but possibly a bit... distant. Would love to see a react to some video about a historical event of their own country, what facts they might recognize, what details might be new to them. Also, at this point it could be great to see their opinion on a more humoristically designed format of history video - well, Oversimplified, to be concrete ;)

That was a very good history. I've read a very good historian's two books about that war, but I'd forgotten most of it because it was so long ago. Nice to have a refresher while the guys got the story. Like a previous commenter, I'd like to see some videos like this about Indian history. Like the invasion of the Mughals. We hardly hear about anything in India before the British Raj. So some history fom further back would be nice.

I would love to see our villagers' thoughts and reactions to the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, but I cannot find any documentary about it in English, especially going into detail about the meaning of its statues and details. At best short tourist videos with happy music layed over it, that makes it sound like circus music played at Auschwitz... The Monument is to honour the dead of war and contemplating the heavy burdens and consequences of war. All war, not just the one that sparked building it. The athmosphere when standing at its center, with all those giant, massive and strong statues looking down with stoic pain, ready for war but not looking forward to it, rather in defiance of it, is something to behold and experience best in person of course. It is a part of German history and mindset that seems to, if not forgotten, than almost buried in the public perception.

Iirc, I don’t think it was as simple as Taylor breaking the armistice. At some point during this, 4 young Mexican Boys between the ages of 11-15 started firing at US soldiers. So America attacked and killed the children, which deeply saddened Taylor. He looked at their bodies and said “but they were just boys…” if you go there today you will find 4 pillars in memoriam of the 4 children who were killed, and they are recognized as heroes in Mexico. If anyone knows the details of all this, please add!

The west is difficult to manage all the way from Mexico. Travel was difficult back then. Joaquin Murrieta was able to evade the law and run horses from Northern California to Mexico but an army had to use the Kings Highway left by the Spanish who also failed to control there territory in the west from such a long distance away. Look up that Joaquin Murrieta story it's very interesting. I think they got the idea for Zoro from his legend.

Would like to see the reaction to something like the channel "History Legends" taking apart and filling in the relevant gaps left out by another history channel. As that shows that there are people are who are deliberately skewing and lying about history and why you cannot just believe everything you see and are told. Would be very interested in hearing our pure hearted villagers' thoughts about such things, and of course the details left out. The above mentioned channel has a video on this exact topic of the mexican-american war even.

I'm a big fan of the series, but I could definitely say I'm not a huge fan of the historical videos. I think they're a little bit boring because you don't really get the reactions that you do with the other videos, and is there a little too long without any talking or comments about what's going on. I think you guys are doing so much and putting so many on here every day that you're running out of ideas and I think you can tell by the amount of comments and views that you get from your original line compared to this line of content. If I was you guys I would do some traveling around to other countries and try their foods while there, or have some of them walk around their own cities and let their neighbors and Friends try the same things that they've tried and get their reactions. Anyways not bashing the video, love you guys, love what you do, bring it on give me some more!

Looking through history, i can see how racism can be carried on through hundreds of years especially back then when communication wasnt what it is today. I'm just glad both countries arnt at war with eachother no more.
